Any idea when SQ will add SIN-YVR? It's viable now with the A350-900 and they're already flying to SEA this September. There is no direct flights to Canada from southeast Asia.

PR is flying YVR and YYZ as of this posting, with YVR being served by B777 and YYZ by A359.

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Devilfish, LTP did the rework/refurbish of PAL’s monoclass to triclass. I wonder too, if they are qualified to do it on their B777s

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Would anybody know the max seat count an A321NX can be fitted without L/R3 activated? I guess it should be less compared with L/R3 activated for safety measures.

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Rumors has it that 5J’s flight cancellations are attributed to labor problems: pilots calling in sick, as well as crews, now that the crews were able to establish a union. But everything is a rumor until someone with a valid source inside could provide us information. I wouldn’t be surprised if it i...

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Anybody who has flown out of MNL recently? Delays have been crazy! Is this the usual ATC that results into LATA? Since the summer sched kicked in, PR’s ops is in chaos! I’m check 5Js through FR24, and seems to be the same, or at least by the time I check their flights. There is some construction wo...

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread - 2019

Has anybody heard about ANA Holding’s conditions before it invested in PR? 1. Excellent on time preformance - makes sense why it’s pushing all stations to close cabin doors 10 minutes before ETD. 2. No labour dispute 3. No affiliations with any LCC - maybe why gossip on 2P being sold/bought by SMC ...

Re: PR Begins Alliance Accession Talks

Time to bump this up with some news: PR is eyeing a deal with a strategic investor within the first six months of this year . If, let's say. NH decides not to be that strategic investor, I wonder who that could be? There's a rumor that DL backed off (though I've not seen it anywhere except in the c...

More destinations from Cebu, Clark and Mania. http://philippineairspace.blogspot.com/2019/01/pal-expands-manila-hub.html RP-C9936 has been delivered last night! Last of the 6 A321neo. Re: Philippine Aviation Thread 2018

I thought the A321N is just seasonal and PR uses the A330 (sometimes the A350) for SYD and MEL. Brisbane uses the A321N. PAL has been aiming to operate MNL-SYD double daily as far back as 2016, it is only possible by down going from a single weekly flight operated by the A330 to the smaller A21N wh...

PR's new international timetable is out, and there are a lot of changes afoot: NEW FLIGHTS/RESUMPTIONS MNL-DEL (resumption; 4x weekly) MNL-HAN (new; 4x weekly) MNL-PNH (new; 5x weekly) FREQUENCY CHANGES MNL-BKK (25x weekly from 3x daily) MNL-CGK (10x weekly from 1x daily) MNL-KUL (10x weekly from 1...

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread 2018

So PR got an 84% load factor on that flight...much better than if it was flown by the 77W (though I wonder how many of the full J seats were upgrades?) :scratchchin: I doubt there were upgrades and if there were, I presume it will be from Y to Y+, just like other carriers? unless PR isn’t selling t...

Re: Philippine Aviation Thread 2018

Would anyone know if PAL is planning to launch any new EU destination soon?
JJB has been vocal about opening up ORD and SEA. Could the triclass reach SEA without weight restrictions?
