Re: GOL, Avianca to form joint holding company

Just for the record, Avianca Brazil, when in operation, wasn't a part of Avianca but shared the name and the owner? That's correct. OceanAir (dba Avianca Brasil) obtained brand licensing to fly with Avianca branding, but was 100% an independent company under the Synergy Group. There plans in the la...

I suspect this mother-son relationship isn't going to be rosy in the future. From the article, she thinks her son looks "Hawaiian", even though the father is African-American.

She rejected an attempt for her son to join a mentorship program geared at young African-American males.

Fascinating video from 1975 on how flight simulators from that era were used. I knew flight sims were in use during this time, I just did not know what pilots would see outside the cockpit - it's cool to see how that was set up. Also interesting to see motion hydraulic technology in use at the time....

Does WN really need a presence at SFO in addition to OAK and SJC, or could WN pull out of SFO and consolidate its San Francisco Bay Area presence to OAK and SJC? Were the reductions related to BA/B construction? You'd think WN would be motivated to increase flights following the completion of BA/B.
