Re: Post-screening gh6912

Hi there, had an F-35 shot rejected for underexposed (no issue there will correct) but there was a personal message attached and unfortunately it didn’t come through so just wanted to get that before going back in to re-edit. Thanks!!

Re: Post-screening gh6912

Hi Hard to tell. Typically compression issues coming up by not saving at the highest amout possible (12 in Photoshop) or by editing on already resized finished files or generally by squeezing very large originals into tiny sizes. In your case sky is rather blotchy. If you want, you can send me the ...

Re: Post-screening gh6912

Just want to say a quick thank you to the screeners as of late. I know I've been submitting a lot of priority shots due to the amount of military aircraft evacuated due to Hurricane Dorian. I appreciate your quick screening and feedback. Y'all are the best! And I'll cut off the priority tag on any m...

Re: Update - Punch List of Bugs, Errors, Requests

For some reason when I upload photos for screening they just say the are “processing” and don’t appear to be properly uploading. Hopefully this gets sorted out soon! Thanks!

Along the same lines is anyone else having an issue with uploading photos for screening? Tried from two different sources and both times the photos are accepted for upload but say "Screening Pending Processing"? Thanks!

If you submitted a correction, that's fine and no further action required. The editors usually take care of that anywhere between an hour to a day.

Awesome, much appreciated. Felt like a fool for listing the wrong registration. Thanks!

Hi there, just had an accepted photo of an Israeli F-35, accidentally provided the serial number of the aircraft directly after it on the assembly line. Submitted a correction request, out of curiosity what’s the time table on getting that reg fixed? Thanks a sorry for the mistake!

Re: Hyakuri Planespotting tips.

For the towers: The daily access fee is 1500 Yen. Depending on what time you arrive the gate may already be open, if not there is a number on the gate for you to phone and the owner will come and open the gate. If the gate is open just drive in and park up. The opener comes round later in the morni...

Re: questions for 1/200 die cast collectors

While I personally don’t collect 1/200 I have some 25 1/72 military and then about 100 or so 1/500 and 1/400 airliners and I always say display them! However I save the box and all original packaging so if needed I can repack them for resale or trade. In the end these things were purchased to be enj...

I ended up picking up a used Cannon 100-400 L first generation at my local camera shop for a pretty good bargain. I’ll be headed out to DFW this week sometime to break it in. Hopefully will get some worthy photos to post here! Thanks again for everyone’s help! -Garrett

Re: New Photographer, Looking for Lens Advice

Some part of the 150-600 is plastic which is not reliable i think. My friend's Tamron 150-600 was broken into to part while he spotting in Hong Kong this year. Well, I would still recommend to consider Canon L series for Long Length Lens. If you want to consider some other length lens you might con...

Re: New Photographer, Looking for Lens Advice

Thank you to everyone for the great advice! Looks like the move is to go with a higher quality higher zoom lens to keep me satisfied for years to come. I'm much more willing to pay a higher price on a one time purchase than have to spend 250+ annually to go from lens to lens. Glad to have had all of...

New Photographer, Looking for Lens Advice

Howdy y’all, For many years I used my old Nikon digital point and shoot camera but finally upgraded to a DSLR. I acquired a Cannon 60D and need advice on which lens to acquire. At the moment I have a 50mm and am looking to add a zoom lens. I’m looking at a 70-300mm lens but wanted to hear some of yo...
