It may have a chance. The grass being thrown up by the chopper could count as dirt (I'm not sure on the regulations about this) What I would advise is lowering the resolution to 1024 px wide. It's got a better chance of being accepted then as it still falls within size limits but small imperfections...

I tend to use Av mode, set at f8.0 (best aperture for my lens), but for props go onto Tv and set it at around 1/250 or 1/300 ISO should ALWAYS be 100 for the least amount of grain. It looks quite nice for a compact...but it only has 3x optical zoom, so it wont get you that close to the action (believe me...I spent the whole of 2006 going to airshows with a coolpix L3) Also bare in mind for that price you're looking at a good second hand bridge camera or even a second hand SLR ...
