I remember this. Only 10 days after Air Florida crash. I knew that there were 2 fatalities...but I didn't know that they were never found. How is that possible??

Came into DAB tonight and DL has relocated from Gate 2 to 6 (still at 4), which appears to be tied to the upcoming renovation. I still can't believe Silver skipped town so quickly. TPA runs a facebook group page named THE PLANE SPOT. It is run by TPA's media people. They have told us numerous times that there are no restrictions on photography in public areas, which includes the garages.

And if anyone is interested, the Tampa Airport Authority has daily escorted tours of the terminal, operations center, fire station and ramp areas that is free to the public They've had THIS for a while. Did it back in 2005...so long ago...it was when they had the old fire station over by the old US...

Interesting because 7Q recently started SRQ-TVC. now G4 will do PIE/PGD-TVC........what will happen???

Don't forget, 7Q announced SRQ-PIT...then G4 announced the same route. The very next day, 7Q pulled the route before it even started.

PIE...if US Coast Guard counts...LOL MCO began as a civilian airport which was then leased by the Air Force, which renamed it McCoy Air Force Base which is where the MCO designator comes from. McCoy remained active until 1975 side-by-side with numerous Eastern, Delta, National and Southern departure...

This weeks OAG shows SRQ-CLT jumping to 5 daily and PHL-SRQ going daily next winter. With ORD and DFW flights AA will operate 8 flights a day. The growth will continue. Maybe the airport can top 1994 and start setting some records in 2020. Is ORD coming back? I keep checking around and found nothin...
