I just saw on FlightRadar24 that the A333 flying DL295 ATL-HND today. This is at the edge of the A333 range ex-NW. Is it payload restricted or do they simply have a light load today?

Video conferencing will do for now. Due to the video conferencing boom I know Telstra Global (the international arm which owns subsea fibre from Australia to Asia, US and NZ) has been investing heavily in low latency routes from Sydney into Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, San Jose CA and Los Angeles.

EK increasingly is NOT the cheapest option for Europe-Asia-Africa-Middle East traffic. Etihad with their B787 is cheaper and so is Qatar with their A350's.

One thing that can increase yields is to make the JFK and BOS flights connect with the SYD, BNE and AKL flights. New York to Sydney is really expensive even in J Pre-Corona. Right now only the West Coast flights connect with the Oceania flights.

SQ can easily launch SIN-YVR but the reason they settled upon SEA was due to the corporate Fortune 500 in the Seattle area requiring business travel (T-Mobile, Microsoft, Amazon, Nintendo, etc.) YVR is purely VFR.

I heard from a friend SQ used to fly to LAS, YYZ, ORD and JFK via BRU. When did these start? I can't find a old SQ timetable online. How were they routed? I read somewhere the YYZ flight was routed SIN-VIE-AMS-YYZ and they left Toronto when AC complained.

It’s weird that they launched SCL. Chile increasingly has relations with East Asia but not so much Africa/Middle East and South Asia which is EKs bread and butter. I guess as mentioned the top business class cities in Europe with Asia connections will remain. I hope Aeroflot keeps upgrading their business class to 1-2-1 like their A350 as they are the value leader in Europe to Asia and some expansions (BOM KIX and SIN)

Also I've been told the cargo market to HKG sometimes is transit cargo to SE Asia (SGN, HAN, BKK, KUL, SIN, CGK, DPS) as its the cheapest route (HND/NRT, PVG, PEK, CAN, ICN, TPE) are more expensive).

I feel like DL wants higher yields so they can take FULL PAYLOAD from South Africa to the USA. I bet when SAA was flying JNB-JFK non-stop west-bound they probably took a payload hit.

Air Europa is a low cost way to fly LatAm to Europe. I hope it stays independent. Air Europa for some reason doesn't fly to Mexico (#2 largest LatAm economy). They should fly to MEX & CUN.

Cargo. Air Freight rates have jumped 30-50% due to lack of capacity. UA is using its wide-bodies to transport cargo.
