How much is UA losing in the Pacific? If I remember correctly the highest yielding routes in the UA Pacific network were SYD, MEL, HND/NRT, PVG, HKG and SIN.

Any update for UA TATL/TPAC? Australia (SYD, MEL) is on lockdown. HKG, SIN, PVG, PEK require strict crew quarantine. What about NRT/HND and TPE? Is the PVG market still being served via ICN?

If there's a central American market that needs service its PTY. PTY has global businesses from the canal to trans-shipping. There's also Asian connection demand via JFK that AA fails to serve via DFW pre-COVID.

There has been growing business ties between East Asia and Mexico. HU and CZ left but ANA is still flying daily non-stop NRT-MEX and AM NRT-MEX (suspended due to COVID) and ICN-MEX. ANA literally has a monopoly on MEX to East Asia traffic right now.

I really wish AA would announce MIA-JNB. JNB is THE #1 market on the Africa continent and DL has said previously that ATL-JNB was their most profitable route in their entire network (DL is charging $10-20k per Delta One suite) because there was NO competition to Africa.

DL really has a gold-mine with the strategic TPAC hub in ICN. KE literally flies to every major and secondary city in APAC from VVO to DPS and HKT which for the most part aren't served in the same airline alliance from NRT/HND.

I'm not so sure about SLC-Asia/Latin America. The most SLC will get is YVR/YYZ/YUL/MEX/CUN. The market is simply not there. This is not like PDX-ICN where there's area businesses that need Asia access like Intel or Nike.

I am surprised at YVR as the first Canadian destination instead of YYZ or YUL. The RJs/CRJs that serve JFK/LGA/EWR-YYZ/YUL are always full with exorbitant fares too. Connect Canada with B6's Latin network and you have a winner!

I wish AA would start JFK-BOM/BLR competing with UA/DL. Due to limited non-stop competition UA's EWR-BOM is on a high J 77W instead of the 789. I guess AA didn't want to compete with DL on JFK-BOM.

I'd say Osaka KIX has enough for the service it has. Pre-COVID KIX was connected to HEL, FRA, LHR, CDG in Europe, SFO/LAX in the Americas.

NGO and KIX has been tried and failed. DTW-NGO only works on DL due to automotive ties. JL flies LAX-KIX and that's all the market can stand. UA also flies SFO-KIX.
