Heard this morning that the shuffle at LHR will continue as ALL OW carriers will move to T5 in LHR next month. With the drop in flights for the long term this would make sense to me.

If AA choses to go this route they should do it sooner than later while they have cash and hand, and can self finance like they did before. DIP financing will likely be difficult to come by and a DIP may see more value in liquidated assests.

Why would an airline that is struggling to survive be spending money on a brand new airplane? Makes no sense. Part of ANY government assistance should include NO NEW AIRPLANES at all until the TAXPAYERS are made whole and 100% of the government assistance is paid in full!

I could maybe see DL doing a JFK-LAX/SFO kind of set up on the A321. But an all Delta One? I don't know how successful they'd be with it. Actually a good idea, I remember back in the early 80s, AA swapped their 747s for Pan Am DC10s. But give the likely hood of an AA liquidation I doubt any bank holding the liens on the DL 77L would take that deal.

The Boeing CEO stated that one of the "big 3" will go out of business by September, so with the vacuum of traffic from the failed airline the survivors may be able to avoid layoffs. UA may be premature in their statement.

The problem with voting by mail is overwhelming voter fraud. It is bad enough when voting in person. To vote you should be required to show PROOF of citizenship such as a US Passport.

I do not believe that Trump would lose in November, his approval is still very strong. But on a fluke ya never know. I still think he will win by the biggest landslide since Reagan in 84. The mere distraction alone we do not need so thats why I think it should be postponed or outright canceled

AA Full steam ahead with 737/321 retrofit

Since most of AA's fleet is grounded they are using the opportunity to add seats to all of their 737s and A321s. When complete the 737s will have 16J/156Y and all the 321 will be 20J/194Y, sadly the popular 321T will also get the retrofit.

Oh dear lord! I do like the 757 but much over 7 hours on a narrow body is too much. My 757 record was about 6:45 on a BOSSJC, strong headwinds, but the SJCBOS was just a tad over 4:00 IIRC

The CARES act does exempt certain workgroups from immediate furloughs and other acts. Salaried management and other support staff are exempt work groups and can furlough those employees immediately and do not have to wait till the end of the CARES act.

I hope ALL airlines avoid a trip to bankruptcy court. But the hard truth is, if things don't turn around soon, every airline could be at risk. Load factors are dropping fast and no airline could survive with 50% load factors.

I am beginning to think the effects of this will be much worse than 9/11. Anyone who thinks airlines will get through this without massive layoffs and financial losses is in a dream land. I would expect bankruptcies for some of the US majors.
