Its not happening anytime soon. There is alot of US destinations first, central and s. America then maybe Canada. Heck id expect ANC before Canada. Plus if you look at MDW, their biggest hub, you can fly porter for $130. And thats to Billy Bishop. Porter has been at it at MDW for a long time and has...Jump to post
Some random MSN observations: ⋅ AA is introducing mainline service on the first DFW-MSN flight of the day, using a A319. This appears to be a permanent change starting in September. ⋅ UA has 2x frequency on MSN-SFO for August, involving a SFO-MSN red-eye. Still using a a E75 f...Jump to post
The E175 may be a good fit for their operation. Embraer lists the LR range at 2150 nm, full pax with typical mission reserves allowing them to serve any state in the lower 48, Mexico, and some of the Caribbean from MKE. https://www.embraercommercialaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Embraer_sp...Jump to post
Do they have a operating certificate yet? If not, how long to obtain that along with aircraft, training and hiring staff?
I still think this is a long way out.
That gradient transition at the top of the tail is beautiful, would have loved to see the full tail with that. Oh well, good job UA! Cant wait to see this in the sunlight!Jump to post
What is UA going to do with the express fleet? Do you think they are going to still stick with the billboard letters on a CRJ-200? Also, what do you guys think about the engines on the Y-tails, do you think they stick with the blue or they go the DL route and stick with white engines?Jump to post
Love all the whining on here with pretty much EVERY new livery a major carrier comes out with! I personally like the new livery, keeps the Continental globe but has the United 2003-2009 colour pallette for the tail. Just how a merged airline should be. That sums up this website perfect. People clam...Jump to post
Clean and pretty. Curious to see what it looks like in sunlight. And of course on the airbus and Express fleet.
Good job UA!!
If the mock images from above are what it is, im fine with it. Nothing drastically different but a refresher like UA said it would be.Jump to post
As a fellow Wisconsinite and someone who absolutely loved and misses Midwest, I hate to say it but there really is not any space for them anymore. Where are they going to fly to out of MKE that already isnt served? Then the problem comes in of price. Lets say they are going to fly to LGA. Well DL an...Jump to post
The second iteration of Midwest Airlines is to buy Ultimate Jet Charters and begin operations from MKE to LUK, MCI, and MSP on July 31, 2019. The service will take place on only weekdays, and will utilize former skyway airlines Fairchild 328JET and Embraer ERJ-135 aircraft. After raising almost 100...Jump to post
More point to point would be better. I think the model that Allegiant has done has proven to be successful. Unfortunately with them I want to go to more destinations then just LAS and PIE. If they could truly do more point to point and offer flights to major US cities as well as vacation destination...Jump to post
Wow this topic again for the 1000th time...... There is a reason why WN has been one of the most constantly profitable airlines in the worldJump to post
I think you’re better off trying MKEJump to post

How much clout does Spirit have in slot wars at constrained airports? I think it should focus on second-tier cities, like their recent adds of Columbus and Asheville. I would love to see some Mid-western expansion (a la IND, STL, OKC, MKE). They have already got the big routes (LAX-DEN, ORD-LGA, et...Jump to post
MSN I feel like is a victim of location. MKE is an hours drive and has service to YYZ. And ORD and MDW 2 hours (on a good day) and both have service. I think MSN would fit a-lot better with Porter. But with 3 out of the 4 southern WI / Chicago-land airports having service I just dont know if MSN is ...Jump to post
No. the F seat tray table is almost like the VX original, there's a small holder that flips up and out from the tray table so you can put your tablet up while you eat. I'll migrate some photos from my phone to computer and upload the shots I took while in N615AS from JNU to ANC (in F, but got pics ...Jump to post
I flew into MKE on WN the other day for the first time in nearly 3 years. I can't believe how old, dingy and depressing the main terminal area looks. I've flown into D once before and it too was unbelievable. C looked amazingly. It was bright, clean and didn't look as if you were stepping into 1989...Jump to post
Awesome for northeast Wisconsin. I think it would be more beneficial if they did MCO rather then DEN. Wisconsiners love there Florida. But I get it, its their hub. Not the first time they flew GRB, hopefully this one lasts.Jump to post
All what you mention is horrible yield. It's really quite simple. As long as you can't lure the business passengers (not only business class, but also higher yielding Y+ and Y passengers), these mini-hubs are doomed to fail. LO's home market of business pax can maybe sustain routes like JFK, PVG an...Jump to post
I recently flew UA for the first time in 9 years. I was extremely impressed with everything. Cabin was nice and clean, crew was extremely nice and helpful. A fantastic experience.
I told my wife we would definitely be flying UA much more in the future! Fingers crossed for a MKE-SFO route!
Definitely both! I mean, after JetBlue merges with Frontier then Spirit then Allegiant ....the possibilities are endless but Hawaii may be a stretch though, dammit. I was thinking more along the lines of a merger with AS. At least they would have an existing station and could add eastbound flights ...Jump to post
Unfortunetly no, as a fellow MKE flyer I would love to see it. But not enough demand. WN, DL, UA all serve the NYC area. WN and DL serve BOS. WN has seasonal service to FLL. And WN, DL F9, G4 serve Orlando.
With that I see no way we will ever see Jetblue. ORD is such a short drive away as well
Quick question with yields on a certain flight. MKE - BNA is the cheapest ticket out of MKE on WN. You can find tickets as low as 62$ pretty regularly. However the only non-stops are 5:30amCST and 6:30pmCST. I know WN runs a-lot of connections from MKE to BNA but what are the yields like? With it b...Jump to post

https://i.imgur.com/mFG4zJN.jpg Saw this posted on the r/wtf reddit. It sounds like it happened yesterday? I could be wrong on that. Frontier departing out of LAS. Not surprising, they expanded too fast. They went into to many questionable markets. Im surprised they didnt just stick with ORD, BOS, LAX, JFK and make a name for themselves on what they did. Low-cost EU TO US fairs. Going into STL, PIT, CLE. CVG, DTW were always head scratches to me. If anything ...Jump to post

My really good buddy lives right around the corner from MDW and only flies WN. I live in MKE. He somehow booked a WN flight from MDW to MKE which isnt even possible by connecting through DTW. He called me and told me he was here I thought he was at the Amtrak station at MKE. I was waiting there for ...Jump to post
Its actually nice to see WN take this stuff so seriously. I have never had a bad experience on WN and for the most part I hold them up there being one of the best carriers in the US, even though it is a low-cost operation. The article states that these were all previously owned aircraft. Im guessing...Jump to post
ACY is a regional tourist destination. Just like WI Dells. People not from the NY, NJ, PHL markets just arnt going to go there. Hell I have never heard anyone say lets go to ACY outside of those areas. Demand just is not there. If you lived in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, LA, Nashville would you rather...Jump to post
WN might be one of the smartest airlines when it comes to opening up new routes. If they see a need for MDW-OKC 2x daily they will do it. However it seems now, like you said, they are focused on STL, MKE, DEN, LAS. Obviously they see a lot of money to be made at those airports. I can speak to the st...Jump to post
Size my friend. Both planes fit very well in the space they are designed for. They can fit a high number of passengers without being overkill like the a380.Jump to post
Will UA ever add MKE-SFO or MKE-IAD nonstop service? UA already has nonstop service to both SFO and IAD from MCI, STL, MSP, ORD, IND, DTW, CVG, and CLE in the Midwest, and the lack of UA nonstop service to its SFO and IAD hubs from MKE is one of the biggest holes in the Midwest. WN is also currentl...Jump to post
