Frontier Airlines to add seasonal service to MIA from BDL starting Nov. 14. I would not be surprised if Frontier tries out seasonal service to LAS from BDL.

Saw on a aviation photographer's page a shot he took at BDL of an AC CRJ200. Could not make out the tail number but can anyone confirm if AC has is sending CRJs into BDL now? Last year, when Air Georgian was still flying to BDL, there were operational issues which resulted in some CRJs substituting...

Frontier is adding BDL - MCO; seasonal starting May 1, 2019. Makes me wonder what other seasonal adds is Frontier going to throw from BDL? (Montego Bay is saying pick me - lol). I am concerned, Frontier does not have the best track record of sticking around.

The MYR flight seems to be doing well, some days it operates 2x daily after starting seasonal 3-4x a week and MCO, TPA, and FLL always preform well regardless of the carrier. American continues to lead the way at BDL in 2018 over Southwest. I believe Spirit overtook United for first time in March without looking back in 2017. Cancun continues to do well with healthy loads, would Delta consider adding a flight or two during the peak season or maybe WN or B6 adds a weekly...

United will be ending its 3 daily nonstop flights between BDL and EWR 10/04/2018. Interestingly enough, this is the same day United's seasonal nonstop BDL - IAH resumes.

If I am not mistaken S5 [Shuttle America] back in its early days [1999/200] used either Trenton [TTN] or [ILG] Wilmington as a hub for its Dash 8-300 aircraft, which of the two airports I can't recall but it did have a nice operation at one of them.

New Haven HVN did have significant service some years ago as the photo above shows. Consolidation and the elimination of large amounts of turboprop aircraft had a very adverse impact on the airport. SNA's main runway is 5,701 ft (only 100 feet longer than HVN) and it manages transcon flights on 737-700 (SNA-EWR on UA). EYW's runway measures 4,801. How much runway does a E145 need for a quick hop to PHL? I would think 5600ft would suffice, but I honestly don't know. Or what about HVN trying to secure Cape Air up to Boston? I think that this kind of service/market would be right up Cape Air's alley. I would think anywhere between 6000-6250 fee...

At an airport where the vast majority of the volume is likely connecting at the other (hub) end of the route, and AA has a complete monopoly, AA can effectively steer this connecting traffic over whatever hub it wants. As such, it's hard to imagine AA intentionally driving these connections over DC...

At least in terms of network carriers - for a market of that size, within 90 minutes drive of multiple other airports with more air service on larger aircraft, I think HVN will be lucky if it can manage to sustain AA service to PHL with the move from DHCs to ERJs. With United's recent interest in domestic expansion and it's build up at its SFO hub I could see a restart of its former daily BDL-SFO service; though probably not on the 757s I remember taking on that route previosuly.
