I wonder if he started to smoke while the plane is in Colorado air space, thinking it would be legal. That is not even close to how it works. Federal laws apply inflight and at public airports, including DEN. It is absolutely illegal to possess weed at DEN despite state law. That is not even close ...

I've heard from a FedEx employee that they lease several (4?) 747F's during the holidays. Sorry I don't have any more particulars.

My perspective - RDU too close to ATL, BOS too close to JFK/LGA, PDX would distract from the focus on SEA. Just my uniformed 2 cents.

I remember my dad flew out of TIX sometime in 1971. He worked for McDonnell-Douglas on the Saturn V 3rd stage at the time. He actually was flying to a job interview, knowing the end was coming soon.

It was amazing what happened to the population of Titusville. 6,410 in 1960, 30,515 in 1970.
