In the past, UA had some interesting ones; DEN-COS and OAK-SFO come to mind. HA was flying the 767 between the islands a few years ago. DL flew the L-1011 FLL-MIA many years ago. The fact the routes like OAK-SFO and FLL-MIA were ever run, yet alone on widebodies is insane. I know FLL-MIA are about ...Jump to post
Am I the only one here who doesn't mind connecting through IAH? Sure the terminals are somewhat spread out, but they seemed to have pretty good transit systems to get from one to the other. I've connected there 6 times and haven't had a really bad experience yet.Jump to post
Recently, there was a thread about B6 stating they would likely be flying to Europe pretty soon, presumably with A321neos. However, if they were to somehow end up ordering A330s, is there a possibility that we could see B6 flying to DXB? They have a very strong partnership with EK, who dominates the...Jump to post
I could probably see JFK and IAD working out for them. I know UA tried IAD-BAH in 2011-12 and was dropped a few years later. I'm not sure how the LFs were on those flights since UA did use a 772 rather than a 787.Jump to post
Well the CS100 without winglets looks a lot like a SSJ100.
It looks great, regardless!
I have a hard time imagining Delta with much more than now, in-fact I wonder sometimes if the three west coast hubs will sustain. I mean how much o and d traffic does Indy have that could really sustain connections? And why does Delta sit on so many gates here, might that change with the use agreem...Jump to post
Routes like DUB are do able from BOS. Is UK/Mainland Europe reachable with the A321LR from BOS? If not, they probably have to buy A330s or A330neos. And that's not something I really see happening anytime soon. UK is prob do-able from BOS with 321NEO let alone LR. 321NEO operated on KEF-LAX (4300mi...Jump to post
Nice article that talks about Delta A220 plans and Delta Focus Cities https://skift.com/2018/08/20/delta-will-fly-newest-jets-with-fewer-middle-seats-on-key-business-routes/ SJC? That'd be interesting. It's definitely do able for a focus city, but there would likely be more competition than a marke...Jump to post
A focus city operation for DL in IND could definitely happen. Focus cities are built on local traffic, not connecting traffic, so it isn't a death sentence if there are 2 focus cities within a few hours of each other. Having connecting hubs within a few hours is not a recipe for success. Just ask US...Jump to post
Meh. Who needs major global German markets when you can have Bologna, Budapest, Dubrovnik, and Prague instead.Jump to post
These are some crazy additions. Bologna and Dubrovnik are rather unexpected. And JFK continues to shrink...Jump to post
Shame for CAK to lose another key route. However, I'm pretty sure UA is going to add IAD-CAK soon but that's for a different thread.Jump to post
This may be a big dark horse but I think MEM is a market that could possibly sustain a 1-3x weekly TATL service (Maybe Seasonal) on WW or FI with an A321NEO or 737MAX (If they have the legs), if not maybe a 752 with FI. There's a decent tourism market in MEM. I think WW would probably be better suit...Jump to post
Frontier adds MSN, GRR, RSW & ORF seasonal from November https://www.azcentral.com/story/travel/airlines/2018/08/07/frontier-adds-phoenix-flights-madison-grand-rapids-norfolk-fort-myers-2018/922234002/ I'm trying to grasp who is coming up with these routes for F9. In high season, RSW-PHX could ...Jump to post
DCA is already nearly at capacity and as long as the perimeter rule is there, there won't be any TATL service. The runway is also way to short to support any heavies that airlines like AA,BA,Etc. would send. DCA's role in the DC area is as the main domestic airport and serves a lot of O&D traffi...Jump to post
Title of this thread: Next Non-US BA Longhaul Destination? Yet we have gems such as these: The most logical additions would be: Charlotte Detroit Portland I agree on all of these except CLT; especially PDX even though DL already flies the route. Well in North America I am nearly 100% confident thei...Jump to post
AA PHL-WAW. Mark my words.
I could also see these happening:
DL CMH-AMS/CDG (one of the 2)
AA PHX-LHR (Seasonal)
UA IAD-MXP (Seasonal)
EI DTW-DUB (May start in 2020, imagine the reaction to our DTW fanboys here)
AA PHL-OSL (Seasonal)
AA started JFK-DEN in June. That really didn't last long. Also surprised to see AS drop SFO-IND. For people flying DEN-NYC, LGA is the airport of choice, since DEN was grandfathered into the LaGuardia perimeter rule. AA could realistically only use DEN-JFK for international connections, which, when...Jump to post

Can't we just get a 757, put raked wingtips and new engines on it and let it rip?Jump to post
Ryanair. Half economy and half standing seatsJump to post
No surprise that DL dropped CVG-MEM. Didn't see it lasting long after DL dehubbed MEM. A good chance that'll be DL's last route drop from CVG for a while. Don't be surprised if they add CVG-AUS and maybe CVG-MSY soon. I hope you are right, a few of the regional routes are struggling, but I think th...Jump to post
