Didn’t we have such suggestion a while ago, where someone mentioned that AA could swap A330 with DL B777 since both wanna get rid of the subfleet ?

So DL would receive additional Airbus and AA would gain extra Boeing and they could harmonize their fleets ...

I’m sure they flew to FRA due to connections within Europe and possibly cargo - as Frankfurt isn’t a tourist destination. Totally aware that they codeshared but again passengers preferred the better hard product on LH metal, so trying other destinations (with *A feed) would have been an option. Look...

Too bad they don’t have the resources to try alternatives in their long haul network. Why compete with LH to/from FRA and MUC ? Maybe VIE is the smarter option as OS is only serving CPT seasonal, or CPH and WAW with *A feed and no competition. Same goes for rather EWR than JFK. LHR is also a tough c...

I always had a great experience with Comair & Kulula, especially due to the codeshare with BA & AF/KL and no need to re-check baggage coming from a domestic flight in SA and connecting to long-haul in CPT / JNB. But the survival of SAA is also important for the country. Not necessarily with ...

A non-PA oddity from 1985 was British Airways, who operated a weekly flight (BA25/BA26) Hong Kong - Colombo - Seychelles - Johannesburg, and with a 747 to boot! That very much feels like a route using some very old BOAC route authorities. I guess this had to do with Hong Kong being British territor...

According to a statement of the government, TAP shall continue to be run as a private company with no interaction of the government.

Therefore slight route adjustments due to COVID-19 may be possible, but I think they won’t necessarily skip half of their network once a new leadership is taking over.

And in Europe, especially with the LH Group, governments are requiring job guarantees and commitment to hub and routes in order to support & bail out OS / SN / etc ... not facing reality and that airlines are required to emerge strong enough after the crisis and when travel slowly picks up again...

Deutsche-Bahn offers a limited alternative to domestic air transport. Prices are very high and travel times not what one would expect from "high speed" railways. Things are changing, with new faster, more direct connections but for the most part the German railway company prefers to serve...

I think it has been discussed before ...

Anyway, I’m using this flight 5-6 times every year with connection to TXL. The new arrival time at CDG will make connections to many European destinations impossible due to curfew at may airports.
