Re: Need a name for airline

You could perhaps incorporate the names of a couple of the Territories or States into the name. Maybe Northern Territory and Queensland?

Don't forget Derby - the closest city to the airport.

Re: Loganair to start flights from Durham Tees Valley (MME)

The train is a pain but it didn't stop the airport being a successful little regional airport for many many years before BMI pulled out. I used to fly through it a lot and it was always nicely busy and a dream to fly through. Yet BMI did pull out, suggesting that they were losing money, or at least...

Re: Air Transat leases 10 A321neoLRs

I have to agree that the A321 should be a step up in comfort from the narrow seats on their A310. No doubt some posters will disagree, and say that any widebody is superior to any narrow body for a medium-haul or long-haul flight.

Just as well their isn't an A310neo for them to buy.

They could always merge with Spirit and call it Spirit Level - perfectly horizontal flight and handy for putting up shelves too.

Might BA also take on Air Transat and Rouge on UK regions to Toronto with the 321LR? I assume that regions to New York would be 1st priority.

I guess it would be best to avoid Hand Grenades when drawing up the in-flight cocktail menu...

Ryanair the centre of attention again, by doing absolutely nothing. Mr O'Leary is a very smart guy.

Re: BA announces 7 new routes from MAN

The E190 is a great aircraft for couples going on holiday - no stranger in the third seat beside you. Couple that with an Adults Only lounge, this offers a better start to a holiday than most other options.

Re: An Airline With No Carry-Ons Allowed

I would prefer a policy of not allowing passengers with seats at the back of the plane from filling up the bins down the front with their enormous suitcases, leaving no space for those actually sitting there.

Re: UA undecided with 767 replacement

Isn't the simple answer to replace 2x767 flights with 1x321 plus 1x330 or 1x787? I realise this won't work for all routes, but it would maintain capacity with the available new-build options.
