WN’s EWR-BNA route will be cut in Nov.....sounds like bad long term news for the MAX, and will continue to stifle WN’s growth plans at BNA in 2019 https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/25/southwest-air-to-pull-out-of-newark-after-taking-a-growth-hit-from-the-boeing-737-max-grounding.html At this point I won...Jump to post
I agree it would be a departure from the predominant strategy of having DL fly to the secondary U.S. markets, but I wouldn't rule it out entirely either. Do you think for CDG-BNA-CDG it would be too much capacity with an AF A330-200 ( at 224 seats 36J | 21 W | 167 Y) or the 787-9 ( 296 30J | 21W |2...Jump to post
Anyone know what happened to DAL2341, JFK-ATL on N828MH? Unless FR24 is drunk, it shows the aircraft departing JFK, flying as far as Trenton, NJ and then turning back and landing at JFK. And FlightAware shows the same thing, so it obviously diverted back to JFK, but why? According to DL.com, it is ...Jump to post
Where is the single 767-400ER with the new D1 cabin? The seat map is loaded on Delta.com also if someone can post the tail number that would be helpful.
AA & UA couldn't care less. While the A220 is an a.net fable, let's not forget that AA, UA and DL passed up on the A220; DL even ordered second-hand E90 and didn't change its mind until Bombardier offered it a price that was so good, Boeing sued. Ultimately, DL's primarily upgauging these route...Jump to post

DL is marketing the 359 as "New Flagship." But does it matter, when the 359 and refurbished 777 have almost exactly the same hard and soft products? You're right the advantages of the A359 are a few things that cant be seen with the eyes.. The A350 engine noise is much lower than the 777,...Jump to post

It's a validation flight.
Not really referb related, but a 75C has been chartered by the Rolling Stones for their tour, and a Rolling Stones decal has been applied under the Delta titles. N650DL is the reg, it took the Atlanta Braves to MDW following their game in IAD, and turned back to EWR with Jagger and crew in tow. Are...Jump to post

Tomorrow, 6/23 No official source but I'd be it'd go ATL-JFK then do one of the JFK-LAX rotations to start.. then JFK-LHR is my guess on first Intl flightsJump to post
Can you give some examples? I've always looked out for things like this, but never seem to find connections through Nashville. BNA Twitter account just announced a new record of 1.66 million passengers for May! I was looking in the winter. Found JFK-BNA-LAX, RDU-BNA-DTW, LAX-BNA-LGA. Those were jus...Jump to post
Spoke to two pilots yesterday morning in DTW. They were flying a proving run on N112DU DTW-DTW. I had just flown the A220 Wednesday night DTW-EWR (Great flight fantastic aircraft). The pilots and DL had asked me to provide customer feedback on my A220 flight. They told me that delta plans to end up ...Jump to post
Why wouldn’t they? Multiple international gates are a good thing but will only be needed for Saturday CUN arrivals and perhaps late afternoon for Europe for the foreseeable future. Those gates will be compatible for domestic and international to my understanding. BNA will never need 6 international...Jump to post

The youngest of the planes you mentioned is already almost 20 years old, the oldest are almost 30 years old. It doesn't seem outrageous to suggest that they would all be replaced within 7 to 8 years from now. That's just a cold hard calculation of the factual numbers of the age of the fleet and has...Jump to post
I foresee 100 more CS300s and a launch order for 150 CS500s. Within the next 12 months. And they won't get launch order pricing this time. Ultimately, by 2026-27, everything smaller than a 737-900/A321 will be a CSeries/A220. MHO. But a blind man could see the plan. AA and UAL should step in and gr...Jump to post
I'm more surprised that the A220 hasn't been deployed on more routes out of LGA/JFK that has an extensive portfolio of long, thin large RJ routes like LGA-STL/OMA/MCI. I thought they planned to use cities like those to route aircraft between east and west coast hubs? Even with 11 aircraft they have...Jump to post
Delta officially announced BNA as a focus city at Jumpstart today. Plans to grow capacity by 10% this year. Sounds like it’s an upgauging approach as opposed to more routes. Also upgraded BOS to a hub, and added SJC as a focus city (joining RDU, AUS, CVG & BNA). https://www.flightglobal.com/new...Jump to post
Honestly surprised that DL hasn't deployed them to EYW yet. Could it make the return trip to ATL with a full load compared to the weight restricted 73G's? I have flown the 737-700 in and out of EYW several times and there has never been a weight restriction or an issue departing to ATL. Unless you ...Jump to post
DL is capturing a huge amount of the premium Intl Pax out of BNA these days. I was coming home from FLR on Saturday and on my CDG-DTW leg the purser told me 35 pax connected on to DTW-BNA. That is because RDU was within the range of a 752, and it was pretty successful actually. It is now on a 763 and is daily or near daily year round (I believe it may be 5x week or so in the very slow winter months). It comes back in the fall though with an A220 as of right now. I'm all for B6 jumping in on JFK-DTW. Maybe then DL will boost it to mainline altogether. I've said it before, and I hold true to my opinion that the lack of mainline on this route is highly inappropriate for hub to hub flying. This wil...Jump to post
I’m curious what additional international adds we’ll see in BOS... I won't assume that intl adds from BOS will be TATL. They cover the obvious spots given fleet (and fleet on order). I don't see them copying the 2000s strategy of CO from EWR and trying tertiary airports from BOS. (BOS-BRS! hah hah)...Jump to post
I recently listened to the Network VP lecture, and was able to chat with directly. I see a lot of things debated here, thought this might help: 767-300ER retirements from 2025-2030, but really want to retire them earlier than that so they don’t have to do a cabin refurb. Me too. It's been really quiet this spring.
Honestly surprised that DL hasn't deployed them to EYW yet. Could it make the return trip to ATL with a full load compared to the weight restricted 73G's? Unlikely to happen, as ATL is likely to be one of the last hubs to see the A220. I'd expect ATL-EYW to end up on a 175 sooner or later, rather t...Jump to post
What makes DL so strong in BNA is the proximity to ATL and the hourly flight. its so easy to get in and out of BNA tacking on the 38 min flight is a no brainer to be able to get to anywhere in the world mostly one stop. (Occasionally 2 stops for smaller cities or deep asia).Jump to post
Keeping the fingers crossed that DL will take the 787 think it could be a good compliment. (A wild card to think about is that both partners KLM & AF both have the 787) between the three of them there could be good economies of scale of DL maintaining all three airlines birds in the long run. Yeah but DL is only growing 18% year over year because of connecting WN passengers not O&D Kidding aside, I’m not sure how they could be surprised about people assuming TATL service and/or focus city designation once they put that sign up Met with a member of the chamber of commerce in Nashvill...Jump to post
BNA has an even tighter footprint than RDU/IND , I am struggling to see where this expansion will go. Nashville is getting a 10,000 SF Sky Club according to this image. https://ibb.co/J2PdqB3 This is pretty big for a mere spoke. Does anyone have the reasoning behind this? I see MSP going all 717 over the summer, which would put BNA at all mainline to DL hubs except JFK and LGA. Isn’t IND the same way? Interesting to see DL expand a bit here despite being close to ATL. Actually I would agree with you here. AA/BA has more on the line given JFK-LHR is their most important route in the network. Imo, it's surprising for DL/VS to announce this route so early if they are gearing up for B6. Adding 1 or 2 flights a day on JFK-LON is nothing considering how much capacity ...Jump to post
