That is exactly what I've been thinking, as the Q's leave I wonder how many cities will disappear? I know the passenger counts are the same, but the economics of running a jet w/a premium cabin v prop wo/the premium seating & ammenities will be the break point for some QX stations. RDM, PSC, PU...Jump to post
One thing I love about AS is there BOB food. The hot food and Chesse plate are amazing. VX food on the other hand is blah. Do we know if VX has switched to AS catering? If I recall VX planes didn't have ovens in coach so I was wondering how that all was going to work??? Hot food in coach on AS is g...Jump to post
Q400 cabin restyling is to begin soon as well, as far as I know. It seems like the promise of keeping the maroon interior that was made when Horizon got AS-branded might be ending. Any updates?Jump to post
Would SkyWest maintain the QX brand a la EV if they were to be acquired?Jump to post
The QX E175s look and feel great, and the Qs suffer by comparison because they're a bit worn and the seat color is awful. They're hardly the ugliest aircraft out there (the OO CR2s are far worse) but the more E175s AS/QX can put onto routes like SEA-PDX, the better. In terms of customer experience ...Jump to post
Sense for who? BA isn't going to get extra aircraft utilization if they turn an aircraft 5-10 minutes faster. BA carries way more frequent fliers than a leisure carrier like Norwegian and their operations should reflect that. You're going to upset your most valuable customers if you board them last...Jump to post
ScottB wrote:Well, it does seem strange to be taking an airline named Alaska between Dallas & New York; the name is more specific to a place than an abstract compass direction.
That one should stay as it is "easily recognizable as Alaska". The Timbers jet retirement was pushed back until early next year. Is it being sold or being made into a freighter? I've been seeing it at ANC a lot lately. I think all 700's are going away. Nope, I believe they are in the flee...Jump to post
If it's been posted here or another thread I'm not seeing it. With the updated livery of AS, are they going to revive the special liveries such as Hawaii Spirit, Disney, Salmon. Are the Horizon Q400's going to get the University logos? Are we going to see yet another livery update at AS? The new ma...Jump to post
1 - Food related - There is still hot food available on longer flights. 2 - Lighting - yep! New lighting packages have already been installed on many (all?) of the SkyInterior 737s. 3 - Unlikely, considering they've just redone all the seat layouts to add premium class. 4 - No, they'll remain as the...Jump to post

It's nice, but the Alaskan flair is completely gone. No more tapestry design on the bulkheads.
