You're all vastly overthinking this. Some are acting like ATL is the first. Jesus, they're nearly the last! The Mayor has decided her airport shall no longer overtly endorse this activity, a position she can easily defend all day long. It's not about freedoms, liberals, or high fructose corn syrup. ...

Not sure this is United's fault, but these battery restrictions create all kinds of problems. This one is very sad. As some have pointed out, this really is a 7 days a week issue. From a revenue and guest experience point of view, closed on Sundays or any other day is completely unacceptable. Airports are obligated to maximize both. I can't imagine my airport approving a lease with those terms. Most places aren't...

It's a pilot to gauge interest. It will then be a revenue initiative for the airport as well. If your favorite airport has long lines at checkpoints and concessions, then you should dread its arrival! Conversely, smaller airports with manageable wait times might like the revenue bump, especially as ...

Non-Aero revenue generation, pure and simple. All airports think about this - the problem is in the additional wait time to the flying public at checkpoints staffed for flyers. If an airport can handle the extra load without impact to wait times for pax, why not.
