Flybe switches Cornwall flights from LGW to LHR

Don't see this having been mentioned before on here but Flybe are moving their Newquay/London flights from Gatwick to Heathrow https://www.cornwalllive.com/news/cornwall-news/newquay-london-flights-switching-gatwick-2245892 Apparently the Embraers will be ditched for the Q400s and there will now be ...

Re: Crew hotels in destinations such as MLE/SEZ

I was in the Seychelles a couple of weeks back and the BA crew were staying in our hotel. Eavesdropping their conversation one evening it what was obviously one of their preferred trips- 4 nights in a five star hotel right on the beach, and a lot of them had brought their husbands/wives/parents etc....

Loganair to start flights from Durham Tees Valley (MME)

Well this is an odd one- Loganair is start services from Durham Tees Valley to Aberdeen and Norwich: http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/business/business-news/durham-tees-valley-airport-loganair-13441482 MME has been on its knees since BMI pulled out about ten years ago, and the owners then decided they o...

Great to see- and Thomas Cook seem to be building a decent number of transatlantic routes from MAN. Obviously getting themselves in a good defensive position should Norwegian ever try to start long haul services....

Re: BA CityFlyer Announces New Routes From LCY & MAN

The most interesting bit is transferring ORY flights from LHR to LCY- BA obviously aren't getting the level of transfer traffic they need to sustain the route. Coming soon after they announced the end of LHR-SVG and LHR-BGO it does suggest that some of their (shorter) short-haul routes aren't delive...

Interesting- Easyjet are to start flying from Southampton, initially with a three times a week service to Geneva https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2017/07/11/easyjet-launch-routes-southampton/ Does this mean their service from Bournemouth to GVA will be scrapped? I also reckon Flybe ...
