The government and it's agencies are the one's that need to be paranoid, we as Americans citizens are not overly concerned about terrorism doing our day-to-day activities.
Jump to postI'm American, I live in America. I guess the only people that think we're paranoid are those that don't live here. I certainly don't see it!!
Jump to postI believe that's a valid point, BestWestern. On a personal level European or world "things" don't annoy me at all. I still get up every other weekend, and watch the F1 races from Europe, and beyond. And I may one of the few Americans on A.net looking forward to the A380... something I've been lookin...

Jump to postI can honestly say that if it wasn't for Slash I wouldn't be playing guitar today. GnR was the biggest musical influence in my life. My favorite tune is "Don't Damn Me", it just sort of speaks to me. I've never seen them in concert, and would only really want to if Axl would fix things up with Slash...
Jump to postI get disconnected after 6 hrs on MSN. I've timed it down to the last second.
Jump to postI saw a "T something" that was made up to look like an old Thunderbird crash. The pilot was close to the ground, and he decided to roll, he was too close and the wing hit the ground and he did a cartwheel. He died instantly. It was pretty shocking. The airshow continued though. This was at Selfridge...

Good luck with finding the right guitar.

The self taught thing worked for me. I couldn't see the point in spending all that money on lessons when I can buy video's, books... ect. Over the 8 years I've been playing, the $$ really would've added up.
Jump to postI've played guitar for the last 8 years. I had a teacher knew theory pretty well. I then quit lessons. Started the lessons again with another teacher who didn't know a lot about theory. You don't need to know theory to play the guitar (slash is self taught, and listen to him)... all you need is hear...

Jump to postIt looks pretty nice. Sorta like an explorer. The price is nice too. If you really like it, find a guitar shop around where you live and try it out. In most cases they'll match or beat the price in Musicians Friend. Give it a shot. Dean has been around for years. They got really popular when Pantera...
Jump to postYeah, Guitar Center is a bad place. They charge extra for guitar cases that come with most of the guitars anyway. I bought an amp there. It was my last purchase at that place. It's a good place to try something out, but don't buy. Something to consider when you're thinking about an ESP, though the L...
Jump to postI have two LP's a Studio Double Cutaway from '97 and a Black Standard from '98. The neck on the Studio is a '60 slim taper LP 24 fret. I like the '59 rounded neck on the Std. best because I prefer chubby necks. I love Les Pauls, but the prices are insane!! The weight on my Std. is 8.5 lbs which is o...

Good luck with the band thing! You learn a lot when you play with others. I like the old Metallica stuff too, the newer stuff doesn't really interest me that much.

Ericmetallica... I've been playing for 8 years I prefer a 22 fret neck over a 24 for no particular reason. If you're a Metallica fan as your name pretty much states, you should consider a guitar with humbuckers (SG, Les Paul as FP_v2 suggested) humbuckers are much stronger and give you more punch th...

I'm seeing airliners.net photo's on FOX NEWS.
Jump to postLucky me ! I happen to live in Southeast Michigan so I can watch the games live on CBC (got up at 3:45 EST to watch the opening ceremonies live). Jump to postI don't want to see 4-8 more years of a democrat in office. Ever since Clinton (even before ) was elected there has been nothing but scandal. He has made a joke out of America. I do agree that it doesn't really matter who is in office, but I do want someone who will not bring disgrace to my country.
Jump to postSpotting at YYZ is great, but the best place is atop Terminal 1 ( the roof ). You'll be able to see most of the airport from up there. Also, you'll have to pay for parking in the parking garage, but it's worth it. As far as needing a ticket to access the terminal, one is not needed.
Jump to postI play guitar. I've been playing for 7 years, even though it seems a lot longer than that. I enjoy listening and playing metal, but I don't like the "new" style of metal... korn.. limp bizkit or any other rap/metal band. My influences are strictly guitar related.. Ozzy... Isiah Thomas- got his auto. and shook his hand.
George and Barbara Bush- shook both their hands.
I have autographed hockey pucks and football cards from various players.(I guess that doesn't count as meeting them)
I have an autographed picture and guitar pick from Slash (Guns n' Roses/Snakepit)
I guess if you're really desperate you could park your car on I94 and spot. Okay, it's not too bright, but I can't think of any other places.
Soon, with all that expansion at YYZ we can kiss Terminal 1 goodbye. One of the best places I've seen at Pearson to spot. Bummer!! :-(
