Re: Ryanair back to deliberately pissing people off: seat assignments all over the aircraft

I don't think it's fair to say "don't be cheap, pay for assigned seat!" when you normally have 2 choices, you either pay for it (fair enough) or take your chances at the airport. But this? it's practically forcing you to pay for the seat if you want to travel with your partner.

If you are na Argentinan aviation enthusiast and defends that backwards aviation policy, things are even worse. Yes, I know Argentina and Aerolineas Argentinas. Argentina doesn´t even have an open skies agreement with neighbour countries because of AR, resulting in high fares. Lots of Argentinians ...

Re: 30 busiest airports in Latin America 2016

Amazing how Argentinian aviation sector is underdeveloped... AEP with 11.6 milllion and EZE 9.8... the only 2 in the 30 in Latin America... I wonder why... Protecting some shitty government airline as Aerolineas Argentinas = making Argentina some 20 years behind the rest of the region... Yeah, it's...

At first I thought the livery was all white - at least plain. Maybe the white N should be moved more forward... OK livery overall (never heard of this airline before).

I haven't reviewed the full context of this info, but the GAO, in one of their regular DoD program reviews, has a table comparing the initial projected cost and current cost of several in-progress acquisition programs. See page 190 here: http://www.gao.gov/assets/680/676281.pdf The programs that sh...

So basically, what you guys are saying is that both systems should live together for the time being. Get the digital BP, but in case you run out of battery, have a cracked screen, the reader doesn't work, or even don't own a smartphone, you can always rely on paper BPs.

Re: Norwegian begins hiring in Argentina; LGW-EZE in December

I think a different thread is deserved as to how AR will respond to all this. On the Austral side of the house, there are some indications the airlines may be thinking of moving on up to something larger and with a more reasonable CASM. Right now, the 26 E190 do a wonderful job, but with all the ne...

I really like what Chinese carriers do to their liveries. Said no one ever.

(IMHO)

So if I understand it right, the whole fleet will have that quirky livery? then instead of sub fleets they'll also have sub liveries?

I believe this one when fly it. Argentina has a new, progressive government, but a protectionist record. The domestic market is still very small due to the economic decline of the last several years. Then there is that split between short-haul at AEP and long-haul at EZE, which is bad for any airli...

Does Copa simply rely on connecting traffic or is there enough O&D for AR to grab a bite? I'm no expert, but as PTY-EZE is at the top end of the 738's capacity, when AR's MAX 8 come online, we could be flying that route more efficiently...

On my last flight I only had a carry on bag, so did an online check in to avoid the hassle of the counter line and having to weight my bag. When I first read the title I thought it was about how many people you can squeeze into a toilet at once. Of course that depends on the size of the people. :P I don't know if there's any regulations on the max number of passengers per toilet, but since the max is more or less the same for each type...

I like the plane livery update, but prefer the prior logo. Agree, the flower-shape of the prior logos seem more fitting. The smaller, circle-shaped logo looks kind of dull IMHO. it makes three of us.
