Re: Coronavirus Aviation Related News & Discussion Thread - April 2020

Hope all are safe and keeping the distance. Out of curiosity, what is JetBlue’s plan? They cancelled cancelled 16% of their operation today and only a few flights out of Boston. Judging by their seat maps ( not accurate) their planes are just as empty as the other carriers canceling a lot more. Will...

Re: Coronavirus Aviation Related News & Discussion Thread - March 2020 - Part II

Has anyone heard what jetBlue is planning on doing? There have not been any announcements from what I can find. I have been pulling up routings on their website starting Monday the 16th onwards from both Boston and NYC. Judging by the seat maps ( I know not the greatest indicator) the flights are ne...

Delta is testing ONE A320 for customer feedback. ONE. They usually do this when trying out modifications to cabin seating to see feedback. It might stick and it might not... you be the judge.. find that ONE A320

Re: Should airline regulators consider grounding B737 MAX series

My friends and I were just saying to each does the office of POTUS have the authority to ground an airliner? Well apparently it does.
I hope this is due to more information that has come to light and not a jump the gun due to pressure.

Re: Delta Expansion at BOS with new routes including CLE, DCA, EWR, and ORD

Typical DL nonsense, They have been in and outta BOS (as a hub or "focus city") so many times now, its laughable .. just like they have done in SEA, PDX and LAX. This big scary "Delta Invasion" is another lame attempt using RJs at scaring off JetBlue. it hasnt worked before .. a...

Re: Delta Expansion at BOS with new routes including CLE, DCA, EWR, and ORD

B6 is making money at BOS and DL is not. Those regional jet that DL operates have far higher cost than B6 mainline. And they can't continue to grow at current levels because BOS is gate constrained and DL is basically at their limits with this round of expansion. It would be foolhardy to assume tha...

Re: Boston aviation - 2018

All the replies regarding this topic make sense of course. However this must give the folks at terminal A quite the headache as the A330 is a Group V aircraft (vs. Group IV for the 767), which I'm sure will result in additional gate constraints. This flight typically departs A16 which already block...

I believe this is referring to the old tower where a majority of Massports offices are at the airside. It’s part of the reconstruction of the B-C connector as it’s supposed to be torn down due to its age. I might be wrong (if I am, sorry) but that’s what I’m reading from this and the PDF’s of the B-...

Re: Boston aviation - 2018

Hello, I want to clear two things up about Delta and Terminal A. 1.) WestJet sublets one gate only at Terminal A, A-1, and can use an alternate gate if needed. Delta utilizes gate A-1 when WestJet is not. WestJet is dropping their BOS-YUL route, which leaves them with 4 flights. Delta will take full...

Even more interesting that they have the LAS flight leaving/arriving during peak times. I was recently flying to LGA on a Wednesday evening and I’ve never seen Terminal A so busy.
