I also can't help but wonder what the fate of PDX-AMS will be, given the restrictions that the Dutch Government is placing on AMS international traffic. I would hope that DL would take off frequencies from ATL/DTW/MSP/JFK (which all have multiple daily AMS flights per day) instead of suspending PDX...

Alaska loaded a whole bunch of cuts for the summer: PDX-ABQ/AUS reduced to 4x weekly. PDX-MSP reduced to 5x weekly. PDX-DAL/KOA/LIH/PSP all gone. PDX-ANC/BOS/DFW/ORD reduced from 2 to 1 daily. According to another thread, Aeromexico is dropping PDX next year. That didn't last long. Not very surprising to say the least, there's no feed on the PDX end and the flight isn't timed well for connections through MEX. The only reason why SEA-MEX performs so much better is because of their partner...

I wouldn't necessarily say that. SFO-FLL has competition (including SFO-MIA), whereas PDX-FLL does not. The FLL/MIA area is currently the largest unserved market from PDX. Sounds like a good route for jetBlue to start up then, who is much better at the transcon game and looks to be re-concentrating...

Shouldn't the title to this thread be renamed? We have no knowledge that Alaska turned these seasonal routes to year round service. For all we know they just extended the summer seasonal by a month.
