At this point, most "classic" 777's are probably too close to retirement for the expense of installing and certifying a winglet...

I dont think the "classic" 777's will stick around as long as the older and smaller 767's due to the A359 or 78X being almost direct replacements.

EWR-SIN is already one of the longest flights in the world, IAD would be even further and I'm not sure United has the appetite to do it. As for TPE, I would imagine it would be difficult to do without Russian overflight. The SIN-EWR uses tailwinds across the pacific and tailwinds across the Atlanti...
