Re: JetBlue's London Heathrow Slots Now Permanent (freebie value?)

The politics of this is worrying. When the Ukraine war is settled it likely will involve side negotiations with the EU, UK and US. It is in their interest to entice Russia into some sort of settlement. I’m not sure anyone is worried about offering enticements to a government that is conducting itse...

Re: Media reports: Airbus close to Air India deal for A350 aircraft

I tend to think that instead of BOM-SFO, AI would rather have BOM-LAX due to film traffic. BLR-SFO makes sense due to the tech traffic between the two cities but back when AI flew to LAX, they flew BOM-FRA-LAX. Part of me assumes that the PDEW between BOM and LAX would be slightly higher over BOM-S...

2) Can't imagine why Air Canada would do the routing via London, when LHR slots cost and arm and a leg, and India (speaking generally) doesn't offer great yields. I don't think these airlines would be tripping over themselves trying to force in India flights during this Russia fiasco if the yields ...

They did not "just" launch JFK-DEL. It was launched on October 31, 2021 and has been in service for almost 8 months now.

The best example of this is how LAX basically has very few shopping options apart from the international terminal which is basically a mall. It's because Americans travel more domestically than internationally, thus making duty free an irrelevant concept.
