Re: United to expand premium 767s to Switzerland

Sorry no upgraded avionics on the flight deck, still old out dated CRT’s. Something will have to done with that if they want to keep them as long as 2025

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Any news on the used A319’s? We are supposed to receive 7-10 this year and none are in the mx pipeline to be configured.

Re: Boeing 777X Testing Thread - 2019

It is all about air noise and window design. Nothing to do with distance from engines. The 747 was much louder then the 777 in the cockpit.

I agree but everyone is asking why The pilots won’t budge on scope and that is the question I am answering.

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

The Md95 is the 717 so if UA ordered the 717 then the could have more 76 seaters. And I believe Delta’ CRJ900 are configured to only 76 seats which falls into their scope clause. The reason 737 max’s or A320’s don’t count is because at the time of our contract our scope was written to mirror Deltas ...

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Just like we see managements scheme to bring 100 seaters to regionals, which is why Scope will not be changed. Delta does just fine with 100 seaters at mainline no reason United can’t also.

I sure wish KICT would get a sfo ns lax didn’t work out because delta came in and flooded the market but I think sfo would work. AS is doing well with Sea

The only difference I remember is different numbers to look at during engine start other then that can’t really tell the difference in flight characteristics.

Re: Future of UA's Airbus Fleet

From various sources, they have currently 12 pre-loved A319 from CZ, two more coming to complete the initial 14-aircraft order. Another 20 coming between 2020 and 2021. Conclusively, used A319 fleet will be 34. All are leased from AerCap and ex-CZ. Actually we are getting 7 more from CZ next year p...

Re: Future of UA's Airbus Fleet

Didn't UA receive a whole bunch of used A319/A320 jets from CZ not too long ago? I'm sure they're not wanting to get rid of those anytime soon... Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Why is adding 34 A319's bad from a scope perspective and adding 40 A220's good from a scope perspective? It would seem more work for mainline pilots is a good thing in either case. thanks in advance for any info. Because the scope clause matches DL’s and both pilot groups want to cap regional flyin...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

They could have ordered the CSeries when they ordered all the 65 73Gs. That was the first big mistake. I also don't like how they are adding ancient A319s instead of investing in a new fleet type. So is an order for E195-E2s or A220s not on the table anymore? I know Kirby has been quoted as saying ...

Re: UA East Coast network changes

I wonder if the used A319s coming online will be used primarily to fund the extra EWR mainline flying. Most of the former CZ A319s I've seen have been flying out of ORD and DEN lately with some IAH and SFO rotations mixed in. I would love it if YX was able to get more E175s to fly out of EWR and re...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Rumor has it 20 A319’s from Easy Jet coming fall of 2019... Unlikely; wrong engines. Possible. But unlikely. I'd go so far as to say VERY unlikely. Why would UA add a completely separate variant of the CFM for just 20 planes? There was a memo from the Airbus fleet manager that stated we were gettin...

Rumor has it 20 A319’s from Easy Jet coming fall of 2019 plus an additional 7 coming from China Southern. Would be great but don’t understand why are not any more the 25 China southern birds this year. And those two 320’s have been in mod a long time.

Re: United Adding Additional 77W's to Schedule

I believe you will not see 77w's subbed in ORD until they stop selling first class on three class 777's. I believe it would cause too much disruption to have to reseat everyone in business first. I think it would only happen to stop a cancellation.
