Good .. screw Long Beach. All they did was mess with B6 over the years ... the stupid fines over "missed curfew", etc .. Glad B6 is finally saying a big 'Bite Me" to LGB .. and going someplace where they won;t be penalized by an airport administration that fights against their tenants...

Curious about where Neal Meehan ended up and where he is now. Meehan was one of the founders of New York Air ... having come from CO and TI previously. He left NY after only 2 years and went to Midway ... and stayed there only a short while.

B6 completely halted HPN (White Plains, NY) at the outset of the covid situation when they were consolidating their NYC operations to just JFK and EWR.

Any idea when (and hopefully not "if") the HPN service starts again ?

Actually i think one that might be even shorter is the Mesa (United Express) HHH-SAV leg thats part of a HHH-SAV-IAD routing. The HHH (techinically HXD, i suppose) is 30 miles. In an EMB175 .. pretty cool.

And how absolutely idiotic .. these crews putting on all that PPE long before hey get on the airplane. Its a dumb placebo-effect idea anyway, but for this to have any credibility at all, the PPE would be donned ON the plane .. and doffed (removed) before exiting. Wearing those silly suits on the bus...

It is a bit excessive, but likely mostly to create comfort among crew and passengers. A mask/face covering and gloves would likely be just as effective. Does nobody think this actually causes more discomfort among passengers? How does it make you feel to see FAs wearing this gear and you're back in...

New York Air seemed to lose its way when they started expanding too much (usual story) and deviating from their roots. Suddenly they were flying alot of routes that totally bypassed NYC .. and then that idiotic "hub" they tried in RDU.

Airlines will use this current situation to start flying even smaller planes (than 757s, A320s and 737s) across the Atlantic now, i'll bet. If a CRJ could make it across, I bet a few would try it !

Really the only airlines that fly or flew Russian planes are from countries that have "had" to ... because they are (or were) under the Russian influence and intimidation umbrella .. or that they were too poor to buy better ones from the west. Russian planes (and support for them) are not ...
