Wow very interesting to see HVN-PHL being discontinued in facor of 2x daily HVN-CLT ... cool, actually. No one will miss PHL.Jump to post
Good .. screw Long Beach. All they did was mess with B6 over the years ... the stupid fines over "missed curfew", etc .. Glad B6 is finally saying a big 'Bite Me" to LGB .. and going someplace where they won;t be penalized by an airport administration that fights against their tenants...Jump to post
Is not going to last. 1 - EWR - BOS is a mostly business route, Spirit is not for wall street bankers, lawyers etc... 2- if you are connecting to go to europe, you better off connecting with an airline that does not charge you even to smile They all charge for most things anyway nowadays .. and jus...Jump to post
It's a pity they didn't simply go back to the smart blue + gold livery they had pre-FlyBe (top pic). That was solid and eye-catching and I liked the small details like the gold engine spinners and the stylised seagull - it made a meaningful link with their Island home. This new scheme seems very bl...Jump to post

Curious about where Neal Meehan ended up and where he is now. Meehan was one of the founders of New York Air ... having come from CO and TI previously. He left NY after only 2 years and went to Midway ... and stayed there only a short while.
Anyone know what his path was since ?
Who called him an Eskimo. Also it’s no derogatory if they actually are Eskimo’s. The name "Eskimo" is commonly used in Alaska to refer to Inuit and Yupik people, according to the Alaska Native Language Center at the University of Alaska. "This name is considered derogatory in many ot...Jump to post

With the trend very much here now to change the now-perceived-as-derogatory names and images of things like Aunt Jemima syrup, Uncle Ben's Rice, The Redskins, Chiquita bananas ... and now Eskimo pies .. i wonder if Alaska Airlines has any plans or is feeling any pressure to ditch their long time Esk...Jump to post

When i think of Voluntary Separation, i still think of baggage. Remember back in the old days when someone would arrive at the counter too late to be guaranteed their bag would make it on to their flight (I'm dating myself here) .. we'd have to make the pax sign a Limited Release tag and we'd write ...Jump to post
Actually i think one that might be even shorter is the Mesa (United Express) HHH-SAV leg thats part of a HHH-SAV-IAD routing. The HHH (techinically HXD, i suppose) is 30 miles. In an EMB175 .. pretty cool.Jump to post
And how absolutely idiotic .. these crews putting on all that PPE long before hey get on the airplane. Its a dumb placebo-effect idea anyway, but for this to have any credibility at all, the PPE would be donned ON the plane .. and doffed (removed) before exiting. Wearing those silly suits on the bus...Jump to post
It is a bit excessive, but likely mostly to create comfort among crew and passengers. A mask/face covering and gloves would likely be just as effective. Does nobody think this actually causes more discomfort among passengers? How does it make you feel to see FAs wearing this gear and you're back in...Jump to post

I hate to think what this means for New Haven (HVN). I show us down to just one AA Eagle flight now HVN-PHL in EMB175. June shows back up to 2 per day, but Im not sure if thats just because they haven't finalized June yet. We are just one flight away from being another Groton or Bridgeport .. airpor...Jump to post

Although i think those ATRs look so groovy in that new livery of Silver's, if they've been in financial trouble for years operating Saabs, why would they want even bigger planes .. and more seats to worry about filling ??Jump to post
So, I'm curious . . if they own all (most) of their planes and have such low debt, what is this huge amount of money for? Is it to continue paying their employees, i hope? If they're not flying at all, then they have few expenses otherwise, I'd think. Please tell me its not strictly to keep paying u...Jump to post
