This does not feel surprising, but do the very same requested exemptions remained requested for the -10 ?
I rather suspect so, as it is economically, far more important to Boeing to get in the air than is the -7.

My cynicism about this relates less to Boeing and more about FAA and Congress.

The Saudi's aren't dummies.
If you want to influence US policy, being a "paying customer" is far more influential than not being one.
