Re: United Announcing Something Big Tomorrow (Space Theme)

IAH-PVG or another int’l add or announcing Terminal B North Renovations? How would either of those have anything to do with Space and why would they announce it in Chicago if thats what was being thought? Well, Houston is in the same time zone as Chicago. I should have mentioned Central time rather...

Re: United Announcing Something Big Tomorrow (Space Theme)

United is already at its scope limit with 255 E170/75, and the 175s are relatively new. The CR7s are being replaced by 175SC and are being STC'ed into CRJ-550s to step into the 50-seat role. To unlock scope, United would have to order a new small narrowbody, and I don't think the SpaceJet/M100 fits...

The more I think about it, the more I think it actually is space related and not Star Wars related. Just look at the replies United has responded with... Something concerning the moon... According to their most recent twitter post, United will be announcing something big tomorrow at 1030am Chicago time. The twitter post uses a space theme. Almost wonder if it is related to their new Star Wars livery.

Re: Why does Iranian Carries use very old aircraft?

Basically, USA and Saudi arabia are in bed together due to arms deals (Saudi Arabias buying billions of them from US and allies) so they allow Saudi arabia to buy their arms (and bomb yemen, Oman and other areas in the middle east) . Apart of this partnership, is that Saudi Arabia and Isreal as wel...

I Love paper ticket jackets, tickets, baggage tags, and timetables. Same reason why I hate Kindles over real books. You simply cannot beat the feel and practicality of real printed paper. No fiddling with batteries, charging, turning the screen on. It just works.

Re: What happened to the Delta and United 747 pilots?

Are there any legacy 747-100 pilots still flying at Delta or United? How long did it take for a pilot to transition from the 747-100 to the 747-200? The 747-100/200 had the same type rating. So I was watching the news today, and heard something very interesting. With the lack of competition, Boeing spends most of it’s money on lobbying vs. innovation. The call...

Yet another 737 runway overrun. Why do these incidents always seem to be on that aircraft? Higher approach speeds vs other aircraft? Boeing offered it twice, and there were no takers... part of that being that the weight of blended winglets essentially cancelled out the benefit, and APB doesn't have access to Boeing's patents for rakes. Combine that with the fact that there's no cargo-conversion market for 777s due to their floo...

As the title states, why haven’t we seen the addition of after-market winglets on the 777-200 series as we’ve seen on the 767 & 757?
