This was due to be happening at STN the last two days but each time been cancelled and today cancelled again but operated as mentioned above to CPH.Jump to post
BA had operated B788 and occasionally B789 on a number of European routes before COVID. Very often on the AMS, ZRH, ATH and LCA plus a few others. Also MAD has B77W daily and IB use A330’s and A359 though I know this is due to freight demand and for passenger using connections. So not uncommon to se...Jump to post
No one bite my head off please. But why not TK adding IST-KIX ?Jump to post
I know there are a couple of operates in Canada (Nolinor Aviation is definitely one) that have B732’s and B733’s in combi modes. These planes have the main cargo door at the front so freight/cargo sits at the front and passengers sit at the back of the plane. Have a look on YouTube sure I’ve seen vi...Jump to post
Very interesting news. I’d imagine it would stop three on both sections. Wouldn’t won’t to be a passenger on these. I’m gonna take a guess at the routing.
DEL-SAW-SNN-KEF-JFK Could make it empty SNN-JFK
JFK-KEF-LHR-SAW-DEL Again could make it empty from JFK to LHR
I think this will be a good decision for EI/IAG. Taking a familiar brand to MAN, which EI is to the UK market. I can see the only slight disadvantage to these direct flights from MAN will be the chance to pre-clear immigration in DUB. This is always a great bonus when flying through DUB or SNN.Jump to post
Everyone is always so quick to write Stansted off. But look how strong Emirates and Air India where previously. Also when Primera was flying they did very well to. Just because Stansted is the home of Ryanair and low cost carriers dose not mean it can not hold up transatlantic routes or flights with...Jump to post
For current operations as pointed out both will easily be able to operate from T5 with no real issues. When both airlines start to pick up and begin a more normal service later this year into next. It may get a bit congested at times. But this will be great for a customer point of view for connectio...Jump to post
When BA has the B767’s they did multiple European cities each day to help with Cargo uplift. AMS, FRA, CPH, ARN, EDI, ZRH, ATH and LCA all from what I can remember. I‘am surprised they didn’t send a B772 or B788 to some of these destinations after the B767’s where retired. Saw the FRA flight multipl...Jump to post
There is simply no comparison between EWR and JFK. The only reason airlines fly to EWR is because it is cheaper than the main NYC airport. And then those airlines can BOAST that they fly to NYC. I have always seen EWR as the NYC version of London Stansted - i.e. not to be taken seriously by any ser...Jump to post
This is what’s showing on the ACL website for next summer.Jump to post
. I always wondered, is 2-2-2-2-2 angled, like AA and Delta not more efficient than 1-2-1-2-1? . https://i.pinimg.com/originals/50/bb/1d/50bb1d19569d53d467002a435d153596.jpg That is how La Compagnie and British Airways equipped their A321LR and A318. IMHO, if they are going to have 2+2 at all, they...Jump to post
The B767 is starting very slowly to replace A300’s and has already taken over older A310’s routes. The B767’s have taken over a number of routes within the Asian network from CAN and other stations. We also have had a few B767’s appear in Europe. The FX5201/5202 and FX5210/5220 DUB-STN-CDG-STN-DUB h...Jump to post
easyJet would certainly have a sniff before Ryanair would. Ryanair has talked about it for years. They have only just entered the Middle East market in recent years with flights from European Bases to Amman And Aqaba in Jordan and Tel Aviv and Eliat in Israel. Ryanair makes their crews return all fl...Jump to post
American, Delta and United do it in the states. South African do it too. QANTAS does it in Australia. Saudi do it, British Airways used to, need we go on. If an airline flies wide bodies regularly domestically there must be a reason and that’s because it works for them.Jump to post
It’s probably already been posted but gonna be honest and can’t be bothered to scroll and read every post. I can understand send planes to NCL, MAN, STN, CWL, BRS as it’s not ideal but can get the passengers home reasonably easily. But why are some planes being sent to AMS, BRU, CDG and ORY. I will ...Jump to post
Will never happen, but HNL-LHR just to throw another option to the mix.Jump to post
I could see them starting to these destinations...
I mean if they do want to have 220 destination by 2022 then most major and regional airports will be flown to in Europe.
Stansted Airport has both of Primera’s A321neos currently. Offering Newark, Boston and Toronto.
IMHO Primera sent National packing as they caused Primera a lot of problems when the B752 was at Stansted, and I believe they had problems at Birmingham to.
Also WOW relaunched flights to London Stansted yesterday. Obviously only a relaunch and not a new route, but nevertheless this route offers good connections to the states. Yesterday’s flight had 79 passengers on the inbound and 120 on the outbound. I spoke to the handling agents and they said multip...Jump to post
Does anyone have the loads for the flight ? I’m hoping it would have been full.Jump to post
Was spotting at BKK over the last two weeks. The only 787 that was seemingly not flying was HS-TQA. FR24 shows it arriving from PVG on the 3rd Nov on a positioning flight number and not flying since. Typical the only plane in the entire Thai Airways Fleet I need to log.Jump to post
