So, the enhanced retiree package (age+ yrs service =70) is basically about 6 months of severance pay, 8 positive space tickets, 6 special retiree flight listings, above regular retirees but below active employees. 1 year normal flight privileges. 2 years medical/dental/vision. I know I'm missing a ...Jump to post

Left side in the U. My eyes still hurt after spending 15-20 minutes trying to find it.
Cheesy? Yes, but it's a simple gesture of goodwill.
Someone will have to explain to me how uniforms can cause "vertigo and even impaired liver functions". I'm not a medical expert by any means, but a friend of mine at work switched to the black suit and pants because he claims the formaldehyde in the uniforms triggered his sickle cell so b...Jump to post
I was asking a simple yes or no question before the mods decided to delete it. Is the deice pad by runway 3L back in operation or not?
Mods, why delete my simple question, yet allow almost half of this thread to be about the runway itself?
With Michigan flyer being an hourly service to/from DTW costing about $22 roundtrip, why bother? That's not even going into the aforementioned reasons described above.Jump to post
Heading to BCN for a few days in late January and booked things well before current events unfolded. I'm thinking things will simmer down between now and then, but I'm watching the situation closely as my hotel just happens to be located in Passeig de Gracia (aka ground zero for a lot of the demonst...Jump to post
Someone was saying on a Facebook page that the 330neo will be arriving into DTW starting mid-October, with an ETA of 13:20 and an ETD of 18:10. That makes it obvious it's going to Europe, but if only four frames are to be on property by the end of the year, then I have my doubts of them flying somet...Jump to post
Looks like the aircraft continued the same night on the regularly scheduled DL 18 to LHR. Weird that it didn’t continue to CDG. DL 18 was originally delayed due to a mechanical delay, hence swapping aircraft. It didn't help that Mr. Morin made alleged bomb threats to federal air marshalls on board ...Jump to post
The one thing that makes me wonder is that this occurred 40 minutes after boarding. If that's the case and not something lost in translation within the article, why not return to IND, deplane him and the bag, and then continue?Jump to post
Wonder what the fares on the DTW-DTW route will be. I would think they would be astronomical, a monopoly route like that..... Plus as we all know, DL is planning to close the DTW hub so might as well rip off the citizens of Detroit one last time :duck: If anything, it would be taxiing around the po...Jump to post

DL's second A339 (cn 1920 F-WWKT // N402DX) has appeared on the flightline in TLS with its engines attached.

It looks like HL8084 will be the frame of choice for KE's inaugural to BOS.
Congrats once again, BOS and KE. Although my Alexa claims that the weather will be cloudy, I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures!
The battle for management control will start now......Would be interesting to watch. Somebody fetch me a bag of popcorn macadamia nuts. :duck: While I am sorry for their loss, I do hope this may enable KE to modernize their product a bit more. Yes I recognize their fleet is fairly modern, but would...Jump to post

Looks like the last GRU flight is on the 29th of March. Sad to see it go, but it doesn't surprise me too much. The JR Rail pass is more economical if you plan to venture outside of Tokyo and visit other regions in the country, otherwise, you're wasting lots of money. You'd be better off getting a SUICA and PASMO card. They are both rechargeable and make things far easier than having to figure out the fares b...Jump to post
Agreed on the previous posts. I was coming close to one after getting some little bug from my dad who still has it (mostly a dry cough). I got some Zicam chewables at CVS and those worked perfectly. I wasn't over it completely, but it was to the point where I hardly noticed I had a cold. My understa...Jump to post
I dropped my mom off last night at DTW, and was shocked to see how barren the lines were. We both left early in the expectation that things would be a little backed up, but it looked like a total ghost town by the ticket counters compared to what I'm used to.Jump to post
Any word on when CBP will be adding Mobile Passport app to DTW? Passed through DTW on my way back from London yesterday, and it would have been nice to use the app instead of having to use the computers. There's always Global Entry and Nexus. Nexus is super-cheap at only $50. Yes, you'll have to go...Jump to post

No YouTube video of it (yet anyway), but their Facebook page mentions a new safety video will be launched for domestic routes starting December 1 and international routes beginning January 1. I think it's safe to say this is the delivery flight for DL's first A220.
Michigan has a very significant amount of tourism but we aren't in the top 10, and may barely even make the top 20 states in regards of tourism revenue. The vast majority of tourism is in-state and regionally-driven from states within a day's drive of most destinations. The amount of out-of-state t...Jump to post
DTW-PVG is returning to DTW. I hear that someone on board passed away and YWG wasn't available as a diversion point.
My condolences to the pax's loved ones.
On the shitty days at work, I jokingly say that all it takes is for some air traffic controller in LGA to sneeze and all hell breaks loose. Sure the terminal investments are nice for LGA, but what is really needed is another runway that will NOT intersect with the approach paths for JFK.Jump to post
and the irony of it is that DL does the ground handling for KLM and AF in most, if not all the hubs. I know that's the case with the AF flight here. I'm friends with plenty of the agents who work that flight at the gate/counter on a daily basis. Oh, and the idea of MEM-AMS returning by virtue of bei...Jump to post
