Looks like the aircraft continued the same night on the regularly scheduled DL 18 to LHR. Weird that it didn’t continue to CDG. DL 18 was originally delayed due to a mechanical delay, hence swapping aircraft. It didn't help that Mr. Morin made alleged bomb threats to federal air marshalls on board ...

The one thing that makes me wonder is that this occurred 40 minutes after boarding. If that's the case and not something lost in translation within the article, why not return to IND, deplane him and the bag, and then continue?

The JR Rail pass is more economical if you plan to venture outside of Tokyo and visit other regions in the country, otherwise, you're wasting lots of money. I dropped my mom off last night at DTW, and was shocked to see how barren the lines were. We both left early in the expectation that things would be a little backed up, but it looked like a total ghost town by the ticket counters compared to what I'm used to.

On the shitty days at work, I jokingly say that all it takes is for some air traffic controller in LGA to sneeze and all hell breaks loose. Sure the terminal investments are nice for LGA, but what is really needed is another runway that will NOT intersect with the approach paths for JFK.
