I don't think regulation of seat size and pitch is needed. What should happen is a law that requires clearer advertising and disclosure of what the customer is buying. Next to the class of ticket the customer is buying there should be listed conspiciously something showing the actual size of the sea...

Was just looking at F9 out of SYR. 10/7 is the last day they have the A321 on the SYR-MCO route before downgauging to the A320. Though with the downgauge they do go to 3x/week. SYR-DEN, RDU and ORD will be done for the winter switch mid-November. After Thanksgiving and for the forseeable future SYR ...

Looks like SYR is getting UA mainline back again. Had a schedule change for a flight in Feb and the first morning flight and last evening flights from ORD are both 319s now. I'm going to guess F9 announcing BTV-DAB tomorrow. NK and G4 already service PBG so BTV wouldn't make sense. With BTV and DAB both happening tomorrow I could see this as a route aimed at Canadian pax. Could be other routes F9 announces as well, maybe BTV-MCO, TPA, RDU?

LD3-45s cost money, as does the equipment to load them onto the plane (more than equipment used to hand load). Labor in the US is cheap enough that the extra cost of a few more rampers is not a big deal. I would think the one time cost would eventually outweigh the cost of labor that keeps going up...

The way I understand how OneJet functions now is that they are using DOT part 380 to advertise individual seats on a part 135 charter service they've hired because a 135 can't advertise scheduled single seats. If it were profitable to do BUF-ALB there would have been somebody on the route already. OneJet had an average of 14 pax on every flight. Maybe if it were a more well known airline you could get one full flight everyday. The only thing that would get BUF-ALB going would probably be a regional doing...

The flight was supposed to take off at 13:30EDT I think and they cancelled the flight and unloaded everyone's baggage around 15:00EDT. From the pictures I've seen it was clearly an overrun after an aborted takeoff. The burned plane is after everyone was already safely off.
