Also from the article they revealed Neeleman plans to base Moxy near a tech center that is not Silicon Valley. My guess is going to be RDU or GSO. Sounds like this would have a domino effect on their system. Plane holds for late passengers taking up more gate time. Now next arriving flight has to wait for their gate to clear now making that planes' next flight late.

In my opinion as the major airports airlines use to function as their hubs continue to become more congested leading to delays becoming more frequent and unacceptable it would make sense that carriers would start shifting their focus to point-to-point routes. I don't think you were on an MD-80. If you had a connecting flight right before or after the MD-80 one you may be remembering that flight instead and confounding the two.

HPN only has a 6,500ft runway. Anything flying over the pond is going to need something longer than that since they'll probably be loaded close to MTOW.

Also, word is that they’re going to be closing the runway between midnight and 5am every night to work on it. SYR can’t handle the BOS capacity it has now based on the load reports that were in the B6 network thread last week I believe it was, so I highly doubt they’d ass BOS unless they at minimum swapped it out for a JFK flight, and that wouldn’t make sense. I'd guess these announcements by Delta mean little for Upstate NY. I doubt Delta is interested in legacy US Airways regional routes--with a 'hub' of 150 flights a day, really more of a large focus city, more likely higher-yield transatlantic and big-city routes. I was just wondering if the new SYR-DEN United Express flight starting next week will become the longest scheduled flight for OO and the E175. United has the flight at 1,504 miles. Anybody know of any longer E-175 flights than that?

Could probably do a terminal on the east side of McChord for the LCCs. Kind of like how Destin-Fort Walton (VPS) is setup. Away from all the military but still able to have commercial operations.

Probably turn the one A380 gate into two separate gates. The A380 has a wingspan of 262ft while an A320 is only 117ft. Less than half the wingspan of the A380. So converting one into two should work just fine.

Based on the location of the terminal in the background it's landing RWY 30 at MIA. I don't think there's an L-1011 that can get in the air in under 1,500 feet.
