Also from the article they revealed Neeleman plans to base Moxy near a tech center that is not Silicon Valley. My guess is going to be RDU or GSO. 737 MAXs will still be delivered even though they can't fly? I heard two are being delivered in July. Where did you hear that? Would they just be delivered and then be parked to collect dust for some months? I don’t think it matters where they sit. They’re going to collect dust whether they’re sitt...Jump to post
Does anyone know when or how close the Tecnam P2012 is to FAA certification? It was projected to be certified by now.Jump to post
In my opinion as the major airports airlines use to function as their hubs continue to become more congested leading to delays becoming more frequent and unacceptable it would make sense that carriers would start shifting their focus to point-to-point routes. There’s only so much room at any airport...Jump to post

Perhaps Mitac should consider another JV with Boeing or simply a build a consortium with Boeing and Embraer and propose a new name for the consortium.
Also, word is that they’re going to be closing the runway between midnight and 5am every night to work on it. With several flights arriving after midnight I don’t quite have any idea how they plan to have this work. That's kind of stupid. The construction crew will have to set everything up and tea...Jump to post
SYR can’t handle the BOS capacity it has now based on the load reports that were in the B6 network thread last week I believe it was, so I highly doubt they’d ass BOS unless they at minimum swapped it out for a JFK flight, and that wouldn’t make sense. Plus, DL would want the BOS flight in late to ...Jump to post
I'd guess these announcements by Delta mean little for Upstate NY. I doubt Delta is interested in legacy US Airways regional routes--with a 'hub' of 150 flights a day, really more of a large focus city, more likely higher-yield transatlantic and big-city routes. And SJC and AUS are probably far too...Jump to post
The ITH expansion and renovation project is moving right along... https://flyithaca.com/2019/05/ith-construction-update/ Looking good. On the service side I wouldn't be surprised if AA moved one of their 2 BOS-ROC flights to ITH. Two things, 1st AE operates 3 daily BOS-ROC flights. 2nd I find it hi...Jump to post

I was watching the Syracuse Airport webcams and noticed a couple private planes had to use customs at gate 12. Every plane that needs customs has to use gate 12. This gate is all the way down in the corner of the alley between the two concourses. Would it not make more sense to make gate 15, which i...Jump to post

I'd imagine the next schedule extension should be out soon. If I remember correctly it was around this time last year that fall and winter schedules came out. The Fall schedules have been out. No. There will be a carbon tax levied upon airlines, who will then pass such taxes on to the consumer in the way everything gets passed on to the consumer. Which is why such taxes are stupid. The money just goes to balance the deficit or other social programs or pet projects of the politicians inst...Jump to post
Probably turn the one A380 gate into two separate gates. The A380 has a wingspan of 262ft while an A320 is only 117ft. Less than half the wingspan of the A380. So converting one into two should work just fine.Jump to post
