Hey everyone it’s been a while, not been on a net much lately, I noticed this from twitter user @xjonnyc who is normally very in tune with rumors far before any announcements are made, that it looks like the first two LH A380 destinations will be NYC then BOS. https://twitter.com/xjonnyc/status/1605...
Jump to postAdding ALB on to this: EWR 1 E145 I wonder how sustainable this flight is. Thanks to Amtrak, ALB-NYC has very little O/D demand. The timing of the flight is horrible (AM departure from ALB, PM departure to ALB) and it doesn't connect to EWR's evening bank of departures to Europe and Latin America. ...
Jump to postYeah, it seems weird, but it could have been a matter of the last paint job not holding up requiring a lot of touching up on the fuselage, or even the aircraft not being included in the wing repainting that got added a few years ago and they sent it in for a full repaint including the wings. Not su...
Jump to postDelta is resuming BOS-MSY in February. They ran this a few years ago Saturday only on an E175. This time it’ll be daily and on an A319 The redrawing of the route maps after the pandemic is fascinating to observe. It’s certainly been interesting, especially on the international side Monday morning- ...

Not sure if already mentioned, VS is coming back with a cargo flight in early Nov. I think the plan is a few weeks of cargo only and then resume pax ops. I see the first VS 789 Cargo flight is inbound scheduled for arrival after 3pm Do you know what days of the week the cargo flight is operating? T...

Jump to postFYI: There is an Antonov AN124 scheduled to BOS this afternoon from Goose Bay Any idea what time? Fortunately I'm meant to be rampside most of the afternoon. Seen a few 124s before but I'll never say no to seeing another! https://flightaware.com/live/flight/ADB3547/history/20201019/1851Z/CYYR/KBOS
Jump to postYes the A340s are now becoming rare with the major airlines. - Lufthansa still flies the 747-8i and the A340 (not sure about the A343 but at least the A346 they still fly). Not sure how much longer they will keep the A380. - BA just retired the 747 but still flies the A380. Not sure how much longer...

Didn't see it posted elsewhere, but apparently Swiss is flying in 77w with all cargo configuration. Not sure of the schedule but it's a few times a week. Swiss flew the 777 to BOS 4 times. (once weekly) 9/3, 9/10, 9/17, 9/24 Swiss will restart passenger service on October 1st using the A340-300 So ...

It's not an a35k, normal a359. Definitely a lot more activity on over here than the last few months Confusing as written, but I assume that's a reference to the BA A35K which is due to land in a little bit. ah right you are. Misread on my part. As luck would have it, I was standing under that 359 a...
Jump to postI am not sure if y'all noticed but we have some exciting flights today.
The return of QR with the A359 just landed.
Correct me if I am wrong, but today is also the first time the A350-1000 has been to BOS.
S4 also returns today.
With LH scheduled for tomorrow with the A333.
Happy spotting!
Flew out of BOS today for the first time since early March. Total ghost town practically. What really blew my mind was how abandoned terminal A was. I flew out on AA and they had 8-9 planes at terminal B. UA had 2 planes, WN had 2 planes, B6 too many to count and even AS had 1 flight at the gate. D...
Jump to postThe EI 321s are doing 24 hour turns. One comes, one leaves. But for a while there's 2 side by side at E during the afternoon until the other leaves Interesting. Jump to postI have noticed that EK has scheduled the A380 for Boston. Do they expect that quick of a rebound in demand? With QR not showing any signs of coming back nearly as quickly, EK has the Middle East to itself. That might be some (or all) of it. QR is planning 3 weekly 359 from July 1st. https://www.rou...
Jump to postWell for those spotters out there bored of watching the same 5 airplanes into BOS every day, it would appear that tomorrow there will be a KL 772 coming in, and later this week an AF 789. I believe from some documents I have seen this will be: Twice weekly KL 772 doing a cargo run till July 1st Arr...
Jump to postThey are not abandoning ACK/MVY/HYA though. These are some of their most profitable routes. Right now they use E90 for BOS-LGA/DCA, which is comparable to what the competitors are using which is a mix of A319/E90/B717/A220-100 + some RJs. I think ideally, you don't want to use more than A220-100 in...

ROC - two way fight between Piedmont and B6 here, Piedmont has the upper hand with a 55/45 split in passengers, but both are seeming to co-exist happily here.
B6 BOS-ROC 460 46059 37708 81.9%

Part 2 DEN - Everyone should be happy with these results, even with F9 joining the fray, UA is the market leader, but B6 is hot on the heels of WN, you have to wonder where those F9 pax would have gone if that service had not started.
