Re: Delta/Compass E175 makes emergency landing due to severe turbulence

How does a plane going from SNA to SEA wind up near RNO ? Surprisingly a lot of fights over fly Reno. We got a lot of diversions from LA San Diego and Santa Ana going to Seattle. And it's a lot easier for aircraft to come to us because we can turn them around a lot faster being a smaller station an...

Re: Delta/Compass E175 makes emergency landing due to severe turbulence

I just got done working that fight it was disgusting inside of it. The passengers were really Shook Up. Some passengers said that they could feel weightlessness at some points The ultimate kudos to the pilots. They kept their cool all the way tell the time they left the airport

Re: Delta and Special Liveries

All of us current employees of Delta. Have always wondered the same thing. But we finally got an answer it's about branding Delta is really big on their branding. Now we do have SkyTeam planes. But I highly doubt we will see retro planes anytime soon. Even though I would love to see a 737 flying aro...

Re: Las Vegas New Airport (Ivanpah Valley)

There's been talk of this new airport forever. the place in question is right outside of Las Vegas towards California. They've been trying to get an airport there forever to relieve LAS . Another idea they had at one point was to expand North Las Vegas Airport. Allowing commercial flights in and out...

Re: Air Canada E190s at KTUS

Hello all, I've noticed over the past few days a couple of AC E190s have headed down to Tucson. I know the E190s are on their way out at AC and was wondering if anyone had any info on what they're doing down there (storage, sold, maintenance?) The aircraft in question are C-FHJU (314), C-FHKA (315)...

God, let's hope! Of the 3 US legacy carriers, United and Delta need to do a 90° turn. I honestly don't see anything wrong with DL's livery. Except for how the all-red widget makes it look to the casual observer that DL is a subsidiary of Citgo Petroleum. http://logok.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/...

Re: Passenger takes video of JFK bag smasher

The biggest issue with bag damage .is passengers are packing their bags way too heavy to avoid paying for another bag. I work in the bins in the Delta Fleet everyday 9 put of 10 bag damage are due to over weight bags. Not puting them down the jet way slide you don't want your bags destroyed start pa...

Re: Passenger takes video of JFK bag smasher

This is not new !! Go to any airport in America you will see the exact same thing. Granted there's no excuse for it but it's the airlines who are letting agents get away with it. The only reason it's brought to light now is the invention of the smartphone

Re: Should Airport employees have mental evaluations before starting work?

I agree it is hard to diagnose mental illness. But if it's done regularly and management supervisors leads know the signs of it it can be dealt with. I know at least on our ramp somebody even jokes about something like that it's an immediate suspension and evaluation. But with Airlines paying very l...

Should Airport employees have mental evaluations before starting work?

With the recent incident of a ramp agent taking a q400. This brings the question should Airlines do more to notice the signs of mental illness? Psychological evaluations every so often? I'm speaking purely of ramp agents customer service agents and line mechanics people who have direct access to the...

Re: Updated: AS employee steals and crashes Q400 at SeaTac

So, the operations side of this, does Horizon/Alaska have enough slack to be permanently out a Q400? They recently sent a couple Q400s down to Tuscon for retirement and storage so they could put one back into service if need be. I saw a couple of them fly in to tus everyday including the University...

Has a current Delta employee I completely understand that they enjoy their brand. Even if most of us employees do not. But it would be a nice top for them to join the rest of the airline world and show a little bit of pride in their heritage.

Everyone has a "currently flying" retro jet with the exception of Delta.

It's more of a statement than a question. I've noticed every single airline has a retro jet even JetBlue lol I've always wondered why Delta does not have a retro jet currently flying? I know back in the day they have the 767-200 that was a retro jet the flew for like a month before becoming a museum...

Re: Why does DL send large planes to small airports?

As a current Delta Employee It's pretty simple actually Delta can pack a 757. For example Reno used to fly one 757 that would remain overnight and was an originator to Atlanta in the morning period every single day it was jam-packed. Even with a midday md-90 and an RJ every hour. At one point Delta ...
