Re: Airport construction projects question

What about IAH at Terminal D construction? Last month they started to tear it down at old TC north to replace a new Terminal D for Mickey Leland International Terminal (MLIT) Are they still working on now or stop? Work continues to go forward on Bush Intercontinental's International Terminal Redeve...

Re: St. Louis Aviation Thread - 2020

I work for Bayer and I need to travel to Europe regularly. STL needs a direct flight to London, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, anything. It's insane that we don't have anything. I get angry that people in Cincinnati of all places can fly to Paris. What is up with that. We have so many international b...

Yes, more or less. The old C North Concourse will be incorporated into the remodel/rebuild/expansion of the existing Terminal D.

Not exactly. The old C North Concourse will be demolished and a new D concourse built in that location.

Re: What is going on with the Houston airports (IAH and HOU)?

Let me be clear I am not suggesting IAH or HOU is underserved, what I am saying is I am surprised by the up and down pax numbers for IAH over the last 12 years whereas DFW, after an up and down decade during the 2000's, has seen an increase in pax every year since 2010. I know UA at IAH will never ...

Re: Whats next at IAH?

This does leave a lot of questions. Will they integrate old C North to D? Why just 2 A380 gates? Where in E will the counters for other airlines be? Will UA fork over said counters for the other airlines? Are they adding more pre-security space for these counters? Will they make the E TSA checkpoin...

Re: Whats next at IAH?

I'm looking at the 2 renderings... I'm unclear on if this expands gates... Yes. I'm not sure of the total number of gates, but at the end of the project, I believe they will be able to have 16 wide-bodies simultaneously parked at gates. (Of course, that allows for a significantly higher number of n...

Re: Whats next at IAH?

Great to hear the new Terminal D is moving forward. I’m really excited and I would like to see the new design and concept. I wonder how UA would react on behalf of Terminal D and E becoming one. Trust me, United is heavily involved in the planning. If it's happening, United must be okay with it. On...

As of 2010, DFW's Indian population was about 10% larger than Houston's.

Source? It was recently in the news that the IAH Polaris Club will open by the end of the year.
