According to airlineroute twitter; Starting next winter, Air Canada has announced it will enter the YQB-Caribbean market operating flights on Rouge A321 aircraft seasonally. YQB-PUJ YQB-CUN Both these are currently TS routes, in the same aircraft type. So is it just me, or does this sound like talks...Jump to post
throw back to when Air Nova/Jazz flew them.... have been on them no shortage of times as a kid, particularly between YHZ-YUL, YHZ-YYT and YHZ-YDF-YQX. Can't remember much about them unfortunately.Jump to post
Ah throwback to last summer when the JV with DL was announced and I said “I’d say they’ll start YYC-PDX/AUS” and everyone thought I was crazy.Jump to post
I think in the coming years, we can expect to see a combination of the following in the 7M8; YUL-TLS/NTE YYZ-BHX, maybe some secondary German markets (DSL, HAM, CGN?) YQB-CDG YHZ-FRA Also, it would be nice to see another route to Scandinavia. OSL or ARN from YYZ, both being Star Alliance hubs. Falls...Jump to post
My thoughts; I think for sure we’ll see YVR-YHZ, and probably even YYC-YHZ transfer from Rouge. Maybe even YEG-YHZ as WS does very well on that sector. Could see YHZ-FRA/MUC... maybe even CDG. The A220 has the legs and would not be surprised to see a secondary European hookup to a Star Alliance hub....Jump to post
The 300s will almost certainly remain long term. I can see the being mainly focused out of YUL and YVR, for such routes a CRJ/Q400 isn’t really feasible. (YGR, YGP, ZBF, YYY, YBC, YCG, YYF, YZP, YPR). As per Sky Regional; I really don’t think this move will effect them a whole bunch as they serve a ...Jump to post
Red Deer would actually be very strategic for a ULCC. First company that comes to mind is Enerjet, but I kinda thought they focused on YYC a bit. Maybe it could also be Jetlines if they ever end up getting up and running. Being the same driving distance from two larger markets (YEG, YYC), and at the...Jump to post
I’ve seen on flight radar the past few days that DL has been flying some of their A220-100s (CSeries) out of ATL using 99XX flight numbers. I’ve seen them on ATL-IAH/DFW just to name a few. Any idea what the flights are for? Obviously not revenue service with those numbers... could it be crew traini...Jump to post
000-099 - Usually TPAC, or flights in/out of Asia. (HND, PVG, TLV) 1XX - Mainline transcontinental in/out of YYZ (YEG, YYC, YVR) 2XX - Mainline out of YVR (YYC, YEG, YWG), also includes YYZ-YWG rotations 3XX - Mainline transcontinental in/out of YUL (YEG, YYC, YWG, YVR) 4XX - Rapidair flights (YYZ-Y...Jump to post
AC at the bottom really isn’t surprising, nor is it really their fault. Nav Canada isn’t exactly a “good” organization, and when it comes to ATC delays, that really hurts AC, especially in their major hubs YUL, YYZ and YVR. Nav Canada just simply has staffing issues, and for that reason many more GD...Jump to post
AeroMexico will be returning to Calgary, YYC in S19 launching 4x direct service from MEX, utilizing 737-800 aircrafts.
I think once the pre clearance opens, you’ll see this route return. It did last quite a while. I think PD won’t change a whole lot, although being able to get slots for LGA and DCA would be advantageous. Also, I could see them maybe starting PHL or RDU. Don’t think we’d see DTW, MSP or ATL.Jump to post
RDU had J service up to about 4 years ago on the Jazz CRJ-705s. However all the Jazz RJs were taken out of YYZ and replaced with the Georgian 200s since then. I can’t recall CLT having scheduled J service, sure there was the occasional upgauge, however I might be wrong. RDU is an excellent and overd...Jump to post

It seems like this question is asked weekly on here. Although they have lots of gates, it won’t turn into much due to the close proximity of its fortress at ATL. MAYBE a SEA flight is possible but I doubt it. If any TATL would happen I could see AMS though since it’s unserved by AA and the DL JV wit...Jump to post
I’m fairly certain the 789s for WJ will be mainly based out of YYZ in the long run. To start, youll probably see YYC/YYZ-LGW as well as YYC-YYZ turns for crews. As more join the fleet you’ll probably still see it on YYC-YYZ turns to rotate the plane, but expect to see YYZ-CDG for sure and probably Y...Jump to post
Dominion301 couldn’t be anymore correct in his information. There are many rumours about what will happen with the current DH1 fleet, they’re slated for retirement, however AC also isn’t a fan of the BEH. So I could see QK absorbing some of ZX/8K BEH routes. The schedule change for the W19 flying sh...Jump to post
With LH already doing MUC, I can’t see FRA being started as there’s no Star Alliance connections out of CLT. I know the auto industry is big, but not big enough to support two LH flights. NRT/HND is interesting, but between AA and JL, I think PHL will see Tokyo service before CLT does. EI is interes...Jump to post
It all depends on the market. Here in Canada, the Q400 is a superior airplane, operating for/on behalf of Air Canada, Westjet and Porter. The longest Q400 route we see is probably YQR-YVR, sometimes coming in just shy of 3 hours block, while the shortest would be YVR-YYJ often coming in at a 20 minu...Jump to post
Nowhere in an airline reservation system is there a check mark to tick for “Gay” or “Straight”. This could’ve happened to everyone. I have nothing at all against gay people but I find too often we see them use the “victim” card and taking advantage of being a minority. I remember a couple months ago...Jump to post
Unlikely, but I'd like to see Encore try flying to major DL stations from YTZ. Maybe DTW, JFK, ATL... or even BOS, MSP and CVG? I like this idea but the only thing is that YTZ doesn’t have any slots. There would definitely be demand for YTZ-NY (preferably LGA as its business heavy) and BOS as well,...Jump to post
I will only be discussing adds to entire network, for example if one airline already flies a route but the other doesn’t I won’t add it in. Based on the market gap, I think some of the most logical adds are as follows; MSP-YQR/YQT WJ DH4/DL CRJ DL already serves both YWG and YXE from MSP, so I don’t...Jump to post
People thinking airlines discriminate just goes to show what the world has come to. Airlines do not discriminate, but instead send airplanes best fit for the operation. You will see a lot more premium configured planes into cities like JFK, CDG, LHR, HKG... as there are a lot of high paying business...Jump to post
From the video, it doesn't appear the child was in control of the aircraft in-flight, however if the airline reported the Captain was arrested, then I don't doubt that it actually happened. These actions from this flight crew are completely unthinkable in today's day and age. Both pilots should lose...Jump to post
can't stand Allegiant at all, but why is this getting blown up? Flights get cancelled... reasons exist... people need to deal with it and take action after.Jump to post
"If no buyers are found, Alitalia administrators have no other option other than winding up with a potential loss of over 20,000 job."
Lol how can that be true considering they only employ just over half that many people....
