Air Canada announces YQB-Caribbean routes

According to airlineroute twitter; Starting next winter, Air Canada has announced it will enter the YQB-Caribbean market operating flights on Rouge A321 aircraft seasonally. YQB-PUJ YQB-CUN Both these are currently TS routes, in the same aircraft type. So is it just me, or does this sound like talks...

throw back to when Air Nova/Jazz flew them.... have been on them no shortage of times as a kid, particularly between YHZ-YUL, YHZ-YYT and YHZ-YDF-YQX. Can't remember much about them unfortunately.

Re: Air Canada Looking to expand NB Transatlantic Operations

I think in the coming years, we can expect to see a combination of the following in the 7M8; YUL-TLS/NTE YYZ-BHX, maybe some secondary German markets (DSL, HAM, CGN?) YQB-CDG YHZ-FRA Also, it would be nice to see another route to Scandinavia. OSL or ARN from YYZ, both being Star Alliance hubs. Falls...

My thoughts; I think for sure we’ll see YVR-YHZ, and probably even YYC-YHZ transfer from Rouge. Maybe even YEG-YHZ as WS does very well on that sector. Could see YHZ-FRA/MUC... maybe even CDG. The A220 has the legs and would not be surprised to see a secondary European hookup to a Star Alliance hub....

Re: Air Canada and Jazz (Chorus) Extend Agreement to 2035

The 300s will almost certainly remain long term. I can see the being mainly focused out of YUL and YVR, for such routes a CRJ/Q400 isn’t really feasible. (YGR, YGP, ZBF, YYY, YBC, YCG, YYF, YZP, YPR). As per Sky Regional; I really don’t think this move will effect them a whole bunch as they serve a ...

Re: Red Deer Airport’s prospects are looking up for 2019

Red Deer would actually be very strategic for a ULCC. First company that comes to mind is Enerjet, but I kinda thought they focused on YYC a bit. Maybe it could also be Jetlines if they ever end up getting up and running. Being the same driving distance from two larger markets (YEG, YYC), and at the...

I’ve seen on flight radar the past few days that DL has been flying some of their A220-100s (CSeries) out of ATL using 99XX flight numbers. I’ve seen them on ATL-IAH/DFW just to name a few. Any idea what the flights are for? Obviously not revenue service with those numbers... could it be crew traini...

Re: Spirit Had the Most On-Time Performances in North America Again

AC at the bottom really isn’t surprising, nor is it really their fault. Nav Canada isn’t exactly a “good” organization, and when it comes to ATC delays, that really hurts AC, especially in their major hubs YUL, YYZ and YVR. Nav Canada just simply has staffing issues, and for that reason many more GD...

I think once the pre clearance opens, you’ll see this route return. It did last quite a while. I think PD won’t change a whole lot, although being able to get slots for LGA and DCA would be advantageous. Also, I could see them maybe starting PHL or RDU. Don’t think we’d see DTW, MSP or ATL.

I can see a couple future max routes from YHZ. YHZ-CDG/FRA in the future. Also would like to see YHZ-YVR/YEG. Very confused why AC hasnt considered the latter given the frequency which WJ operates it.

With LH already doing MUC, I can’t see FRA being started as there’s no Star Alliance connections out of CLT. I know the auto industry is big, but not big enough to support two LH flights. It all depends on the market. Here in Canada, the Q400 is a superior airplane, operating for/on behalf of Air Canada, Westjet and Porter. The longest Q400 route we see is probably YQR-YVR, sometimes coming in just shy of 3 hours block, while the shortest would be YVR-YYJ often coming in at a 20 minu...

Unlikely, but I'd like to see Encore try flying to major DL stations from YTZ. Maybe DTW, JFK, ATL... or even BOS, MSP and CVG? I like this idea but the only thing is that YTZ doesn’t have any slots. People thinking airlines discriminate just goes to show what the world has come to. Airlines do not discriminate, but instead send airplanes best fit for the operation. From the video, it doesn't appear the child was in control of the aircraft in-flight, however if the airline reported the Captain was arrested, then I don't doubt that it actually happened.
