I have a feeling the spotting area in the terminal may have gone now. The multi storey car park does offer good views of the runway and apron but there is now fencing on the upper level making photos very hard indeed, all in the name of "security".

Excellent summary FlyCaledonian. Rio and Buenos Air have seen good growth on AF in recent times( Rio in particular) so a 787 on BA should be very do-able when they arrive.

Arkia have operated into LGW for a number of years so I would assume TOM are operating on a charter basis too and are defined as the 2nd UK scheduled airline. This whole situation highlights the need for an open skies agreement.
