Re: Calls for SNA to be Renamed

It is hilarious who’s actually getting upset about this...the Right Wingers. John Wayne was an actor. Not a politician, not a founder, not a community leader. He didn’t actually change history. He represented what Orange County thought of itself years ago. Which is silly. John Wayne ACTED like a co...

Re: Calls for SNA to be Renamed

If people could take their PC glasses off for a minute, they might see for the period of time it was said in, there might have been some logic to it. In case you hadn't noticed, in 1971, slavery had been abolished for over 100 years. Or more likely, you had noticed and quietly agree with John Wayne...

Re: Employee Accuses/Sues WN for Whites Only Break Room at HOU

Many many white people refuse to believe racism is still happening, even though there are constant examples, and some also view any efforts to combat it as others wanting “special treatment” or “playing the race card.” You’d do well to find some friends of color who trust that you won’t say somethi...

Somebody call the "whambalance", somebody's feelings got hurt. What I find really disturbing are the social warriors who want to get in the brains of the supposed "offenders", trying to find the smallest bit of unconscious perceived racism. As long as they follow company policy, ...

That's a shame. I don't need a PTV at my seat, but I do appreciate some music or an overhead movie.

Re: AA Fleet Updates - 2018

The argument the execs make about removing the PTVs remains the same, that by the time it would take to retrofit the entire fleet that they'd be obsolete. So they figured instead of wasting money on a product that would be obsolete by completion, that they invest in faster WiFi for all aircraft tha...

Re: Virgin Atlantic's split upper deck.

The LGW fleet was all W upstairs with only x2 rows of W downstairs (just aft of doors LR1) - as stated already these x2 rows was for pax disability access. If splitting a cabin needs to be done for capacity and handicap accessibility, this makes more sense (splitting on the main deck). Having the w...

Virgin Atlantic's split upper deck.

Why does Virgin Atlantic split the upper deck on the 747 between coach and premium? From a passengers perspective, it seems like it would make more sense to have the whole upper deck premium and maybe lose a few premium seats on the main deck for coach.

I think this hits the nail on the head. We simply don't know whether the passenger who was asked to move had a boarding pass showing that he was entitled to sit in the seat he was occupying. The complaining passenger's vague reference to "assigned" seats could mean a bought and paid for b...

Again, the guy was asked before the FA had any chance to know he was gay. Again, upon learning they were a gay couple, the FA could have handled the situation differently. It must be nice to be in a protected class sometimes. All they have to do is say a magic word or phrase and people are expected...

People are just too whiny and hard to please. It's only 4-6 hours. A big leather seat with decent legroom is more than enough. I hate walking down an aisle and seeing everyone laid up like it's the salvation army.

DL's 757 cabin update

Just curious if anyone else believes DL has ruined the 757. Just flew their newly updated 757 ATL-SEA both ways. Haven't flown DL in a while, and with it harder to get on a 757 on AA, I was looking forward to that private first class feeling you get on the 757. Might as well been on a 737. The divid...

I have to say, it looks like AA could have at least done a better job with gate areas/podiums.
