Not sure brand loyalty played a part here. Those poor Cubans were happy to leave on ANY airline. Oh I bet...but for future reference to their kids and later grandkids...cause trust me, Hispanics do that...."x airline is a really good airline" cause i mean after all, at least some of those...

PA, yes, I don’t think National. Yeah...i imagine some of the Florida based airlines since they figured, in the future at least some of the Cubans they carried would use them for other trips you know..also, well, since the Florida based airlines were, well..Florida based.... Hi I just read on Wikipedia about the Freedom Flights between Cuba and the US between 1965 and 1973 but Wikipedia doesnt say which airlinescarried these special flights....

Does anyone know?

Also no connections to Mexico,not even cargo. You'd think with El Paso's strong connections to that country, including businesses and humans, at least a commuter flight to Monterrey would exist.

Of course, you can easily drive to Juarez for any connections inwards to further Mexico...

I just wonder when this version of Eastern will start SJU....for people 45+ at least the name still resonates in Puerto Rico and the younger generation has probably most of them heard the name from their elders...Eastern is still probably a heavy name down there.....

its always comical when a team like a football team says its so hard to travel. Sadly never flew them but I do remember one of my first airliner kits was of a beautiful TWA L-1011 Hasegawa brand. I later saw those L-1011s at San Juan and Phoenix....they also had flights to Aguadilla once.

I live smack bang inbetween the 2 airports and I always remember a Royal Air Maroc 744 flying over my house as a kid at about 9000ft on a ferry flight to EMA from MAN. As far as the M6 works excuse goes it's rubbish. A34 to Stoke via Congleton then join A50, 40 mins from Stoke to EMA on a good run....

I have to say this: the term narrow-body can be misleading to some that do not know that much about aviation To me, aircraft in the A220 and Boeing 737 and up, I consider those big aircraft. Compare them to business jets and even more to the 15 seater water airplanes or the 3 seater private Cessnas...

Shortest wide body was Eastern Airlines L-1011 from San Juan to Santo Domingo and back...Ive only had 4 wide body flights and all were L-1011's (Delta, my first ever flights, and Eastern) My longest narrow-body flight was on an American Airl...

It's been stated many times in the thread already that the CRAF planes will not be flying into Afghanistan . USAF will ferry evacuees out of Afghanistan and then they'll transfer to CRAF flights to get to the US. Ohh ok I didn't read that part.... But still why 4 of United? And not 3 like the other...
