For all those clamoring for a 737 replacement. How vocal have the airlines been for such a replacement aircraft? Remember Boeing has to build what the customer wants, A build it & they will come scenario is too much of a financial risk.

The problem often tends to be when owners fly their own aircraft, they don't have the depth of training that professional pilots do, furthermore, they don't fly enough hours to stay proficient.

Off on a bit of a tangent, I was just looking at the Transport Canada Registry & it shows that 6 of Westjets 737-600's were exported to the United States on Feb 15th. Anybody have any insight as to where they are going? Is Janet a possibility?

I think this is a warning to the airline to stop bad practices instead of a true enforcement action. First company I would scrutinize is United, to me it sounds like Kirby might be trying to deflect attention away from United & it's a case of do as we say & not as we do.

The planes that transport the president of the United States shouldn't be a showcase for bleeding edge technology, the are meant to transport him safely & reliably so that's why they go for aircraft with a proven track record & the redundancy of 4 engines.
