Re: MHT announce new carrier 16 June

This is going to draw a lot of customers from BTV who want direct flights to RSW/FLL Most people in the BTV area who want that are probably already going to PBG which has RSW and FLL. I don’t know where blueknows comes up with his information. Bong hits would be my guess. Nice adds for MHT, it's ab...

Re: St. Louis Aviation Thread - 2021

I don't see WN ever flying STL-PLS. PLS is a small, specialty Caribbean market compared to NAS, MBJ, PUJ. In fact, WN only flies to PLS from FLL right now, not even BWI. And as someone who flies to PLS every year, even the AA/DL/UA have a few flights to their large eastern hubs. It's not a knock on...

No STL or MCI. Odd. Maybe more SoFLA traffic skews towards FLL? I agree with you. Would be a great add given all the new routes NK has from STL, especially since WN has MIA now. NK is not scheduling MIA for connections but some will be possible unless ALL the southbound flights leave in the early m...

Re: Southwest Fleet/Network Thread - 2021

Let's turn the question around. What routes XNA-xxx could WN operate to yield a station with 12+ flights a day? There's little demand to DEN, CHI, or WAS. 1X LAS, 1X DAL and 1X MCO doesn't justify a new station. WN opens stations these days with less than 12 flights per day. Not all traffic is Walm...

No STL or MCI. Odd. Maybe more SoFLA traffic skews towards FLL? Midwest prefers Tampa/Ft. Myers/Gulf Coast. The coasts prefer Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. While the local markets on something like STL-South Florida is often larger than STL-RSW/TPA, remember there's a lot more two-way traffic from Miami th...

AA adding SEA-CTS nonstop service using an A321XLR might be a possibility with SEA-CTS being 4390 miles whereas the published range of the A321XLR is 5400 miles. There would also be some connecting opportunities onto JL flights out of CTS to other Japanese destinations such as AXT, AOJ, FUK, HNA, H...
