Re: United Airlines in advanced talks on purchasing 100-150 737MAX

Why is having RR engines on 788 an issue for UA? Engines are not as logistically intensive as airframes. RR tri-spool suits shorter mission profile of 788/763 routes better Agree, IF UA decides not to take the A350 they will build a 787 fleet large enough to warrant two engine suppliers, RR ones fo...

I doubt its even in their radar at this point. Pretty sure B777-300ER was supposed to be the replacement aircraft for B747-400. Also all of their B777-300ER are less than 5 year old, which mean that they would be used for at least another 15-25 years. You know how US3 love to work their jets to dea...

Delta should consider ordering the A321XLR and A338 as a 752/763 replacement. The only bad thing about the 338 is it is a orphaned fleet and the 339 operating costs are very close. The original 330-900 order was for the 767-300er replacement. The A339 has too much seats to be a 763 replacement so t...

I thought the reason the 789 was delivered with Diamond seats was that the Polaris seats were so slow in initial production that they didn't want to bog down the manufacturer, which would have delayed delivery of both 77W's and 789's. Not so fast. The A359 is closer in size to the 78J than 789. It’s payload range unmatched by 789. It’s per seat costs are a bit less on the longer sectors.
