How does the Envoy contract limit their growth? Asking out of curiosity cause I do not know who that is structured.

I'm still wondering how the new IAB with 6 gates will be utilized. Yes, BNA is growing, but we'll never need 6 international gates. I'm thinking at least 4 will be common use, or at least possibly utilized by DL/AA since they're losing gates. With regards to new air service, the only domestic carri...

Hear some rumblings of LF adding MCN and IND from BNA by the end of the year. Source? Just casual airline employee talk on the bus to the parking lot. Nothing too much, but it was a Contour employee explaining things. Expect good things from Contour for BNA. 7 days until the Jetstream rides off int...

Re: Southwest Airlines Network Thread 2018

Presuming you're referring to MSP-ATL, I can't say it's much of a shock. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'd think the fact that MSP-ATL is (presumably) a major DL hub-to-hub route might have hurt WN a little bit. In addition, WN also reduced ATL-BOS to 1 daily departure in Summer 2019...

It seems to me that this would be the biggest trial run of a spoke city that DL wants to become a focus city since RDU and/or SEA. The top destinations I would imagine they would add first are DEN/DFW/EWR/ORD/PHX/IAH/SFO, if I had to guess. IDK, odd how there hasn't been a ton of details about it j...

I learned from a reliable source that WN will get all of D, and give away 2-3 on C. That seems fair. Would those C gates be used to entice new carriers or would AA get them? Those 2-3 gates would be given up for new carriers. I assume C13-C15 would be the ones Southwest gives up. They’d welcome Spi...

It bothers me to no end that SEA has up to FOUR flights a day to BNA, and PDX has ZERO. Simply ridiculous. (2x AS, 1x DL, 1x WN in the summer months). I thought DL had 2 per day as well? I am curious as to what the tipping point was for OneJet. Seems like they were doing ok until Contour started flying those ex UA/EV ERJs on J1's behalf and things went downhill from there.
