There's also the issue of the scope clause in the USA. Essentially, due to its weight, the E2 has to be a mainline aircraft. CSeries also must be mainline, but with the CSeries, you're spreading that cost out over more passengers. So… unless the scope clause is changed, I don't see the E2 as being ...

If the deal materializes before the end of the year and China's three biggest airlines have CSeries on order, it will save the program. For now only talks.
