Thank you for the example. But is it not that the primary control you can use to slow the aircraft is by reducing power? I’ve always waited until 10kts below flap limit speed to extend the flaps as that is company procedure. For the A320 Vfe Flaps 1 is 230kts, Vfe Flaps 2 is 200kts, Vfe Flaps 3 is 1...Jump to post
The way these are written "flaps have a maximum speed at which they can be extended" and "max flaps extension speed" can be interpreted how quick the flaps extend at max flap setting? ;) It should be VFE is the allowed maximum speed of aircraft with flaps fully extended. Just to ...Jump to post
I'm curious. At what purpose/reason you will use flaps to slow the aircraft? And by slowing the aircraft, it means speed is reduced.
What I know and also as mentioned here, flaps will enable you to fly at slower speed and can increase your margin before aircraft can possibly enter stall.

Aircraft owners/operators are regularly notified by airframe manufacturers ahead of production about the modification status and changes of an aircraft. Thanks for the replies Do airlines have any issues of getting, let's say, two 738s of which one was made before a production mod and one was made a...Jump to post
Not a direct answer to your question but some pilots also complain by saying the cockpit aural warning is too loud. Before an aural warning can be modified to specifically mention the system at fault, there's a reason why there's PM (pilot monitoring) and PF (pilot flying) who each has corresponding...Jump to post

In my experience, no alignment was done for wheels but there is for brakes of A320/A330, not mandatory though but savings can be realized if done properly like regular measurement of the brake wear pin and forecasting it with fleet utilization. Similar to a car's wheel alignment where the camber, to...Jump to post
