Need to remember that much of the traffic to Brazil comes from many places, not just only Montreal. YUL likely is a less costly airport for AC to operate from and convenient for connecting passengers.

Fars Air Qeshm operates a B747-200F on-behalf of IRCG and is known to fly between Iran and Lebanon. It is possible that USAF or IAF would monitor such flights.

Unless otherwise agreed upon, lay-off comes with recall rights. Traffic return of 25% is an estimate only. World-wide 14 day quarantines need to be lifted along with government "do not travel" recommendations to see any return to normalcy.

AC B767 will be retired but not completely gone yet, may see it from time to time in the air. The B787 is the best in my opinion.

Agreed. MAX will stay. Paid-for expensive investment and also an ideal aircraft for many AC routes.

It may be that MAX is staying, rouge will be narrow-body Airbus only, TS still in the works, A330 will operate where B767 used to be.

Age 14 should not be UMNR? AC to AC connection YVR passengers arrive and enter separate immigration/customs area (Kiosk or PIK), then security check, then bus to domestic gate 29. If you want to meet at YVR, best that passenger check-in bag to YVR only, then enter normal Immigration and Customs area...

YVR-DEL: I don't have exact numbers available but the AC nonstop flight is often full and about 75% is inbound connecting traffic, much from California.

Airport ticketing usually employs a highly skilled agent with much airline experience. Presently not many new tickets are sold but every possible problem encountered ends up in ticketing. It is also the location where passengers come to vent their anger.

I think SQ to YVR has limited traffic. Long time ago when SQ did operate SIN-YVR with stop in Seoul, speaking with one of their YVR managers, I was told that first choice for stop was actually MNL but that was not approved by the authorities then.

There are no easy choices to make for new destinations from YVR. SIN traffic is limited and the distance is long. More China would be great but due to present political climate and the many Chinese carriers in YVR, maybe not now. SYD does well, BNE less so but MEL does not warrant daily service yet....

I recently flew 4 intra-Europe segments with KLM and was quite impressed. While the aircraft indicated Air France/KLM, not once did any announcement refer to AF, no monitor sign indicated anything else by KL. The ground crew, cabin crew and pilots were courteous, energized and spoke excellent Englis...

PR B777-300 could take an example of some of AC B777-300 with lie-flat 28J, 24O and 398Y with 31" pitch for a total of 450 seats.

Sadly never had chance to fly. Do recall once BA Concorde departing from YVR, was directly under flight path, the roar was like that of a fighter jet and yes, car alarms were sounding afterwards!

My perception is that Air Canada rouge will get more North America flying in the future. AC likely will quickly rotate AC mainline, AC rouge and even Jazz flying as required by the market.

it appears that PR new A350 was recently in YVR. Airport upgrade to Premium Economy was only CAD150 for any economy class ticket.

If I remember correctly, SQ came to YVR in mid to late 80's, 3 times per week. Equipment may have been B747-300 with 3 class service. At YVR only the DHC8-300 (50 seats) and DHC8-400Q (74-78 seats) is operated by QK, along with the CRJ900 jet.

Ben Smith said earlier this year that B787 options would not be exercised, no new long-range routes would be launched and that route consolidation or even capacity reduction would take place in the 4th quarter.

Ben Smith (AC) did recently say that AC would have been interested in YVR-SIN but that due to the many new California to SIN flights the plan did not go forward.
