American is starting flights between Rochester and Miami 1x Weekly on the Embraer 175 for $1,087 one way. Seems a little pricey. Wouldn't Buffalo or Syracuse be a better option? No wonders they didnt go to BUF / BNIA ...... Frontier would 100% have way better pricing than that money grab in Rochest...

It doesn't make sense that it starts in febuary, Buffalo is much colder in january. The first couple of years they had the route they began in mid-January, I believe the 13th. But in between Christmas/New Years and February breaks, I'm sure they would have a lull and wouldn't be able to fill planes...

Breeze should be allllll over Buffalo / BNIA. The BUF-JFK route was one of the first Jetblue routes that started the airline. Needleman knows the airport and what it can provide. Also, the a220 is a perfect plane for it.

It's interesting to me that WN has discontinued all LAS and PHX routes to the Northeast with the exception of BUF. ALB lost their LAS flight a couple of years ago and then they brought it back again last year, only to axe it again. I'm guessing Canadian traffic helps the routes at BUF? IIRC MHT/BDL...

EK is heavily restricted by Canada as only YYZ is permitted (five times a week). EK might have gotten more if they had pushed to operate to other cities.
