Looks pretty nice actually, but will take a bit of time to get used to it.Jump to post

Good: SIN, great food options, and comfortable waiting areas. Stayed for 12 hours at SIN on a connection once, and had no problems. T3 is by far the best place I have connected. T2 isn't as good as T3, but still top-notch. ATL, airport was clean and easy to navigate, can't say much more as my conne...Jump to post
Hi, I'm also having trouble finding a few old flights on the online ACARS database. Does anyone know of another way to find info about these? Apologies for the large number of flights, and any missing data, but any help will be welcome. Listed from oldest to newest: 2008-10-20 or 21 PEK to HKG on CX...Jump to post
Imagine a Chinese domestic flight from Lhasa to Beijing, Guangzhou or Shanghai! That could possibly even require a stopover in Turkey or Iran or somewhere!Jump to post
I really like this new livery... clean and simple. Maybe it's because white is one of my favourite colours. While it isn't perfect, it's a large improvement over the last livery IMO.
Looks I'm one of the only people left who like eurowhites
I'm also one of those who don't fly much. Usually, I fly at least one roundtrip a year, but not more, due to mainly financial reasons. But every few years, I take a trip to China to visit family, and occasionally, a holiday somewhere else. But the thing is, I rarely fly domestic within Australia, so...Jump to post

To me it depends on where you prefer to sit in the row of seats. For example, on the A330 and 777, both are a lot louder if you sit in the seats on the side compared to seats in the middle block. For example, (speaking from personal experience), I found that sitting in the middle block of a 2-4-2 A3...Jump to post
I haven't actually flown on that many airlines, so I'll list them all here. Cathay Pacific Can't comment much, haven't been on CX for a long time and I can't remember many things about the flight. Here are some of my favourites: Like already posted by another user, I like the French Air Force A330-200. Imagine that livery on an A350-900... 2410451 Also the Mexican Air Force 787-8 2849211 . I also can't wait to see the new Air Force One livery; red, white and blue can look amazing when done co...Jump to post
I have four picks, of which only two are actually used by airlines. 4856187 Air France Boeing 787-9. In my opinion, the Air France livery looks stunning, but especially on the 787-9. Generally, I prefer the look of the A350 to the 787, but I think there's something about the 787 that makes this live...Jump to post
I have a list of overrated, and underrated types. (Mostly judging from a Economy passenger and A.net perspective) Overrated (no particular order) Boeing 787 Narrower seats than the A330/350, as well as annoying shadeless windows (although the size is a +). Also, IMHO, the lower cabin pressure on bot...Jump to post

Does anyone know of any websites where I can get data about flights for free from past years, especially the registrations of aircraft? In particular, the airports I need help with are as follows:
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
While I haven’t been on the 787 (may have a flight coming up soon), I have been on the A350 and found it to be quieter than all other twinjets I’ve been on (all in the window seat behind the engine) and I couldn’t notice the cabin rattling at all, maybe SQ has different panels. Interestingly, I foun...Jump to post
I think this is just a matter of personal opinion. For example, I really like the Xiamen livery and the China Southern livery (just not on A380). But I also like many liveries a lot of people don’t like (like AF, UA, IB new, LH old new). I think we can all agree though that the MU livery is absolute...Jump to post
Got a B788 downgraded to an A332, which was a definite downgrade. I would take an A330 over a 787 any day in Y for the 2-4-2 seating but I’ve never been on a 787 before. Then I turned up to the airport, and was upgraded to a factory new A333 that had just been delivered from TLS the previous day. So...Jump to post
I've flown CZ in both Y and W from BNE to PEK many times, and I recommend it to you. It is good on price, and seats are usually comfortable on the aircraft I've been on (A320, A321, B777, A330, A380). They usually have good pitch and my legs don't touch the seat in fromt (I'm 172 cm). IFE is usually...Jump to post
Does anyone know what the swishing/thumping noise that can be heard when sitting over the trailing edge of the wings on the a330 during tax is caused by? It sounds similar to the clunking noise made when the brakes are applied or released on the a320, but has a unique hissing/swishing sound, simila...Jump to post
About an hour after takeoff, breakfast was served. It was just 4 sandwiches with a few vegetables inside, which tasted truly disgusting. The tray looks very bizarre and somehow empty... As I saw a sticker attached to the tray and you were talking about vegetables inside the sandwiches, was it maybe...Jump to post
Nice trip report Lightning12, Always a good idea to try alternative routes/aircraft... Although Air China isn't the best carrier in terms of quality, it certainly offers good value for money. I recommend it if you are looking for a cheap way to get from A to B. Cheaper than CZ via CAN? Thanks for s...Jump to post
This is my return journey from China on Air China. I go to China every few years to visit family. I usually fly CZ via CAN, at it is the cheapest, but just this December, Air China launched a new route from PEK to BNE, so I decided to try it out. Sorry I don't have any photos from the trip, I did no...Jump to post
My home airport is BNE (Brisbane)
I’m fine with the current amount of destinations, I would like a direct Europe destination, like CDG, FRA or LHR but we will have to wait for longer range aircraft for that. Also like vhqpa said above, BNE-SGN on VN would be nice.
As long as it flies, I look forward to getting on it!
But as long as it's not too expensive, I would go out of my way to fly a aeroplane I've never been on before.
