Looking forward to the Master Plan meeting. Nice to see that they are engaging with the public.

Not really sure where this is located, but it looks like CLE now has a sock vending machine from a company called Stance (https://www.stance.com/). I'll have to look for this in a couple weeks when I fly to Nashville:

There seemed to be some objection on here to discussing Sherwin Williams on an airline chat board. I don't share that objection, as S-W has a far bigger impact on air travel in CLE than 2 bit flight schedules from Allegiant. . . . In any case, the four cities rumored to be under consideration outsi...
Jump to postThe writer is consistently reliable. He is very well-connected in the local business and real estate scene. SW’s CEO John Morikis also just put the finishing touches on his brand new Bay Village mansion earlier this year. The company isn’t going anywhere.
Jump to postRegarding SW---their HQ and R&D are already in Cleveland. With this new building, would they have more employees in CLE? WIll they move people here from Minnesota/Valspar? If so, we should see increased demand and a stronger argument for TATL and elsewhere. Yes, it would likely consolidate the ...
Jump to postOh boy ! Hope Cleveland doesn’t mess this up ! Or should I say “When” they mess this up! Jump to postUnited has a nice display at the air show with one of their new livery 737s.
Jump to postThanks for posting the April numbers, avt. Good to see BOS absorbing DLs new 3x daily CR9s without much of a hit to load factors across the carriers.
Jump to postJust got back to CLE after a conference in Milwaukee. Looks like Delta is expanding into Gate B3. They are setting up a full kiosk rather than temporary signage. Makes sense with their recent route additions that they want more permanent space in B.
Jump to postCLE-MKE: 74% I wonder how long WN will keep this around. Odd spoke to spoke pairing to begin with. I don’t forsee this route being cut. It performs rather well considering its running 2x daily. Southwest also has a monopoly on the route — they’d be stupid to get rid of it. Quite a few corporate con...
Jump to postHow are the security lines at Hopkins doing? Just media hype about getting to the airport 3 hours before a flight or actually good advice? Also, too bad no additional capacity added. According to TSA, wait times have remained under 20 minutes, even during peak times: https://twitter.com/TSAMedia_Ma...

Thanks as always, enilria!
Jump to postNice announcement. Just goes to show how much winter demand there is to Florida.
Jump to postMost of these were already scheduled to stop before winter, including SEA and SFO. The only route technically going from year-round to seasonal is SAN. But even SAN was never formally announced as year-round to begin with.
Jump to postVery cool. UA also used CLE as a test subject for its new boarding process about a year and a half ago.
Jump to postCLE-ORF on G4 also kicks off this afternoon. Their service to CHS launched yesterday.
Jump to postAnd thank you for pulling these numbers, AVT. Much appreciated.
Jump to postLoads ≠ yields. There's a reason for these frequencies despite lower than average loads, just like there's a reason why a route like daily DL CLE-BDL has stuck around for over five years. These routes make money. Speaking of loads, it's nice to see DL CLE-RDU slowly mature over the past few years. M...

- 2018 total passengers: 920,002 (-27.3% YOY)
- January 2019 total passengers: 64,042 (-14.3% YOY)

Spotted a third billboard on 71 north before downtown. I’m guessing these wouldn’t be plastered all over the city if it wasn’t real. My guess is that these are teasers and we will see a formal announcement in the next week or two.
Jump to postEaton would certainly be pleased with this addition as it would connect their North American headquarters in Beachwood with their world headquarters in Dublin.

Nice to see CLE part of JetBlue's latest expansion. If I recall from enilria's weekly threads, CLE-BOS will soon be 4x daily. That makes 3x daily CR9s for DL, 4x daily E190s for B6, and 1x daily A320 for NK summer-seasonally. http://blueir.investproductions.com/investor-relations/press-releases/2019...

Jump to postIt’s really a wonder to me why CLE doesn’t use every single communication to the public to remind them that a master facility plan is coming.
